Fen Lodge Shepherd's Huts

Had an amazing weekend here. Fantastic and friendly hosts, beautiful setting, and amazing attention to detail. Would highly recommend.

We've just had a fantastic 3-night stay in Willow. It was my first time in the area and I found it hard to tear myself away from the peace and beautiful views at Fen Lodge to explore. The hut was super-cosy with everything you could need, and we loved the fantastic shower 60 seconds away - it felt very luxurious! We will definitely be back - thoroughly recommend.

My girlfriend booked a couple nights at Fen Lodge as a surprise for my birthday. It was a fantastic experience. We really loved the shepherds hut, and were so happy and peaceful while we were there. Neill and John were very friendly hosts too. We’d certainly visit again.

What a lovely place to stay!Neill & John are fab hosts and have created the most tranquil space to relax.Everything about their place is natural and feels like home. The hut called Willow is beautiful and has everything you need to live. The bed is super comfy, the woodburning stove is top notch and can be made to shut down properly so you don't get too hot, which I wasn't expecting. Plenty of firewood and kindling is available in different sizes for the indoor woodburning stove and the fire pit outside. This made all the difference to me that lives by a woodburner and cooks outside whenever the weather permits. Even the kitchen knives were decent and sharp.All in all I thoroughly recommend Fen Lodge and the hosts. Go and enjoy beautiful Suffolk.

We had a very dreamy experience spending a weekend in Alder. The hut is nicely decorated and has a scandinavian feel to it. We had the fire lit each evening which made it even cosier with choice of books, board games or music to enjoy it with. A short walk to two wonderful villages, where you can find a pub or two, second hand bookshops and nice little churches. Lots of wildlife around and the beach just under an hour walk away. The breakfast basket is a must, filled with fresh and local produce, certainly enough for two days. Thank you Neill and John, we will definitely be back!

Beautiful shepherds hut in amazing location! Neill and John are brilliant hosts and the place is kept spotless and clean! Great for people who like the idea of camping, but still want all the home comforts!

We spent a superb 4 days at Fen Lodge staying in Willow. We felt so relaxed from the moment we arrived. Neill and John were brilliant hosts and provided us with everything we needed to ensure our stay was totally stress free. The hut was comfortable and secluded, we just wish we had booked longer. Looking forward to returning next year.

Wonderful two night break in beautiful surroundings! Hut well equipped and cosy. Hosts made us feel very welcome and sorted out electricity for our bikes. The breakfast hamper is highly recommended! Great location for exploring local area.

We have had an absolutely idyllic week in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Cosy shepherd's hut The Willow at Fen Lodge was our home for the week and it was simply perfect! Neil and John perfect hosts. We will be back!

Just returned from a couple of blissful nights staying in Willow". We had heard good things about Fen Lodge Shepherd's huts and our expectations were more than met. The location was the ideal "away from it all" setting in a delightful meadow down a secluded country lane. Being tall we were surprised how spacious the hut was. Everything we could possibly have needed was thoughtfully provided. The locally sourced veggie breakfast basket was a highlight. Neill has clearly given careful thought to his guests' comfort and experience. The weather wasn't great but it really didn't matter."
