Great food, great beer, great staff - best pub in Devizes with something for all ages. Even a games area crammed with board games! Sunday lunch, especially the gravy is to die for!

Lovely local pub. Great selection of drinks, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Genuinely just a really lovely pub to visit. They have a log burner going, so it’s super cosy at the moment.

Had dinner out here with friends. There a good range of food and drinks. Staff were really friendly and pub well laid out. We did have to wait for our mains despite pre ordering

Stayed in the white bear for 9 nights. Extremely comfortable. Landlord and landlady made us feel extremely welcome. Lovely atmosphere in the pub just like a pub should be with great guest ales and a log fire and a spooky haunted ghost story that went with it. Although I didn't eat here the food looked and smelled delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Really tasty burgers. Good selection of drinks. We had the beef and the Carrit burgers, both delicious. Dont be put off by label of carrot burger, was great. Staff friendly. Clean and traditional decor. Will come back.

The White Bear
We recently had a fantastic stay at The White Bear, Devizes. From the moment we arrived (after a long cycle from Reading) Mark and Georgie were so welcoming and helpful. They gave us a secure place to store our bikes, then showed us around, made us feel at home, and got us a drink.The rooms very perfectly clean and comfortable, with a nice big double bed and powerful warm shower. The bar downstairs was stocked with a wide selection of drinks, and was set up to be COVID safe and social distancing was in place.We all had a full English breakfast in the morning which really hit the spot!We chose this venue as we were doing the Kennet & Avon Canal ride from Reading to Bristol. Devizes was our stop over point. The White Bear was a perfect location, right in the centre of town but just a couple of minutes off the Canal path. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone else doing the ride.Mark and Georgie were brilliant hosts and we will certainly be staying again in the future.
