Beautiful hotel set within lovely grounds, electric gates on entry and plenty of parking. The double room we stayed in was beautifully decorated and spacious, comfortable bed all very clean and fresh. There was also an additional single bed, TV and coffee/tea provided, still bottled water and biscuits were a nice treat. Unfortunately, due to covid no breakfast was provided but there is shopping facilities about a mile away so we were able to enjoy food in the room. Would definitely stay again!

We've had an absolutely fantastic 3 night stay here at Hedgefield House in a four poster room which is so large, clean and beautifully decorated. Our host was absolutely great and is very friendly and helpful. Staff left us a beautiful gift of truffles for our wedding anniversary too! thank you so much for everything - your thoughtfulness has been absolutely incredible, Hedgefield House - we will 100% be back!!

Absolute gentleman! Booked this hotel as part of a bikepacking trip following hadrian's wall. Booked it the night before and it was very last minute, turned up to the hotel after a long days ride only to find out that I had booked it for a date in November by mistake. They couldn't do enough for us and managed to squeeze us in for the night, luckily having 1 room left. Room was lovely, the building and ground were beautiful too. Allowed us to lock the bikes in the shed out of the rain too. Would stay here again 100% if I'm ever in the area and I'd recommend you to do the same, but don't book it for the wrong date like me.

Amazing room - we stayed in the four poster roomHost very friendly and welcomingBreakfast at a nearby restaurant- literally through the garden gate so lost one star for being off site, but no real detriment to guests cost approx £10pp for a quality continental breakfastAlso evening meal at the same restaurant was amazing - Italian cuisine- excellent value for money tooWe were travelling from Edinburgh to Sheffield and took the opportunity to visit the Beamish museum, which was about 10/15 min drive away but otherwise unable to comment on locationBeautiful grounds - a true hidden gem !

I stayed in room 4, in the annex, a twin room with shared bathroom. Room was fine, clean and spacious. The showers are in my opinion poor. The power was not great, and ran hot and cold, and the shower head could do with being replaced.Breakfast was o.k., a selection of fruits and yogurt etc. Host was pleasant and friendly

Quirky place but clean and cosy. Gorgeous gardens at the back of the house. Convenient parking at the main entrance. Even though some rooms have shared facilities, these are quite spacious and clean and there are plenty. Each bathroom has its own shower, sink and WC. Breakfast is very good and included.
