Wow!I literally cannot express how wonderful the team at The Wedding Shop are!They literally saved the day.I picked up my dress from my seamstress a week before my wedding to find it ruined! I immediately started looking for the same dress and came across The Wedding Shop.I spoke to Aimee one of the seamstresses there who straight away made me feel like she would be the one to help me. I sent photos of the dress to see if it was salvageable but understandably it wasn’t.However, the next day her sales colleague Maggie called and sent me through options they had in store and I headed straight there. Being in Kent it was a bit of a track but it was so worth it.We spent Friday afternoon trying lots of dresses and I left with two options.Monday, I returned having made my choice and in one day the dress was fitted to me perfectly and they even made arms to match.The girls said ‘we got you’ a lot and you know what, they really did.I honestly am so grateful to these wonderful women who worked tirelessly to find and fit me the right dress in literally no time! They were kind, professional and fantastic.I can’t recommend them enough.With love and thanksAmanda (and of course my husband Andy who was also very pleased with the result).xx

Went to a few wedding dress shops before visiting the wedding shop in Colchester. I thought I had good experiences at other shops.. until I went for my appointment at the wedding shop! They were absolutely amazing! They had dresses picked out that I had already selected online and really listened to all my feedback from each dress and ended up pulling the perfect dress for me. While I waited in the changing room for them to go get it I heard my wedding party gasp when they saw it. I never felt rush or pressured and the whole experience was wonderful. I had all my alterations done with Aimee and she was incredible, she was always chatty and interested with hearing about wedding plans and was an absolute pleasure to have around at my fittings. As a curvier bride I felt comfortable when dresses actually fit me and I was made to feel uncomfortable like I did in another bridal shop in Colchester where they have a separate shop for curvy brides and used really degrading words when it came to sizing. I haven’t stopped raving about my experience at the wedding shop and will actually miss my visits to the shop. I would 100% recommend this shop to anyone! The level of service was second to none and the whole boutique has such a lovely vibe. Thank you so much for all your help !

Both of these lovely ladies made me feel so comfortable during my dress buying process and I couldn’t be happier with my experience!

I had the most amazing experience here. Maggie could not have been any more helpful. She was up and down to the stock room full of ideas and l was certainly not limited in any way as to styles, numbers of dresses etc. There was no hard sell tactics and l was shown many sale bargains as well as new stock. When we had to go back again, the same day, once more they couldn't have been more helpful. Maggie and l both had our fingers crossed, l believe, that my daughter, who had joined us, would love MY chosen dress. Not an easy cookie to please...when she burst into tears, we knew she loved it. Thank you for helping me choose my amazing dress and seamstress info too. I am so very happy.

We had the best afternoon at The Wedding Shop Colchester. The whole experience was what I had been dreaming of since I was a little girl. They have a lot of dresses to choose from so it was excellent that I could select my favourites from their online portal in advance and they were waiting ready for me to try on.Emily was amazing. You can tell she loves what she does and made me feel really at ease.I had booked the appointment for 6 people and there was more than enough space, it was also lovely that my bridal party could enjoy drinks and snacks while I changed between the dresses.The appointment was 1.5 hours and personally I think 2 hours would have been better especially if this is the first time you are shopping and don’t have a clear idea of what you want.Thanks to all at The Wedding Shop!

I was so so nervous about trying on wedding dresses and at first was extremely overwhelmed - but Emily was absolutely amazing at keeping me calm and I ended up having the absolute BEST time trying on wedding dresses. I also found THE dress ❤️ I couldn’t recommend the wedding shop more! The whole team were so welcoming and just made the whole experience amazing! Ordered my wedding dress from this shop recently and wow what an experience!Had the best bridal shopping experience from the minute I stepped through the door. Such a beautiful shop with so many beautiful dresses to choose from. We were made to feel at ease and what can be such a daunting experience turned out to be the best!Maggie was absolutely amazing and had a few dresses already waiting for when I arrived. She really is so wonderful at her job and really listened to what sort of dress I wanted. She was an absolute star!!I left feeling so thrilled and can’t wait to go back when it arrives.Would highly recommend!!

Worth the trip if you're not local!I had been to one other dress shop that was local to me before trying The Wedding Shop and the service that they provide is another level!I loved that you can select your favourite dresses from the look book before the appointment, so that when you arrive there is a selection waiting for you. It really took the pressure off trying to find something yourself from a rack full of dresses!Jenna was so helpful in helping me find my dress. She asked me all of the right questions to guide me and narrow down my choices to the exact style that I was after.I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this shop to anyone!

What a lovely experience I had back in February picking my dress for my wedding day on the 1st of September.We booked an appointment slot and when we turned up we had a private area with bubbles and nibbles. So many beautiful dresses to choose from with such a variety of designs!My mum also bought a beautiful dress from downstairs in the ‘ Mother Of The Bride’ floor.To say I felt a million dollars on my wedding day would be an understatement. I can’t thank the girls enough for picking my dress with me, altering it and getting me in for regular fittings before the big day.I would definitely recommend to anyone!
