Escape Live Liverpool

We booked this as part of our Christmas ladies day out. Two groups of 4. Jack the Ripper and Peaky Blinders double cross. So much fun. Definitely doing again. Totally recommend

A team of 4 adults and 2 children did the Horrible Histories room.Whilst we did enjoy the overall experience we were left with not much to do. It is more suited for 2 people if you don’t want a short or ‘stand back and wait’ experience.The staff were professional and friendly.

Did the Jack The Ripper room as a group of 4. Our Game master Pete was great and the room was very immersive. If you have sensory issues there are flashing lights and loud noises. Just tell the Game master as we did and he was able to let one of us out for a couple of minutes and gave water. xx

Travelled 70 miles to play a room which had at least 7 faults that I can remember.When it gets to the point where the staff have to tell you over the intercom that they will manually override a puzzle so you can progress you know there's a problem.We played the Peaky Blinders Double Cross room. Shame really as the layout was nice but literally nothing seemed to work.

Can’t recommend enough! Had a great time in Dr Watsons room. Challenging and entertaining. The facilities are the best I’ve ever seen and Shaz is AMAZING! So kind and helpful. We will be back.

Our party of 6 had the VIP package which included a bottle of beer or cider of your choice, a shot and the room for an hour. We sat in the VIP lounge which was lovely. We were looked after from the minute we walked in to the minute we left. Amazing staff, very attentive. The room we did was difficult but our games master was really good with her clues. I would highly recommend Escape Live as a fabulous day out.

Update - 04-10-2023After posting my Jack The Ripper review I liased with the Head Of Operations of Escape Live. He was very interested in the specific problems my friends and I faced; didn't palm those problems away, he was open to suggestions on how to improve it. I thought 'lets try a different room, see if it was a one off' and we did Prison Break. Infinitely more enjoyable. Even though we struggled at times it was still fun; it was clear we struggled due to ourselves rather than things out of our control. Will definitely be going back and trying a third roomAs for Jack The Ripper...I can't say for certain whether that was simply down to my own personal taste rather than poor design. And I can't say whether that room will be modified although I'm confident it will be. It does seem like it was a one off, though :)05-09-2023Atmosphere in the Jack The Ripper was good. Nice and eerieHowever. One of the clues had accidentally been left in the room, which I found, to then be given a duplicate later once we'd done a puzzle. Didn't know it wasn't supposed to be in there, thought it was a genuine oversight and that it was 'supposed' to be like that; I felt like I'd wasted 20 minutes on doing something pointless so it diminished the experience and was off-putting. The 'equipment' you're provided with will not help with seeing. Unless you use your phone light you aren't doing the first puzzleAnother clue was pretty abstract. I don't want to go into spoiler territory but the way it was worded wasn't greatAt the end I mentioned the duplicated clue and was informed it wasn't supposed to be there. After paying £70 I was hoping for a better experience. May try another room and see how that goes

Decent venue for business meetings and escape room fun. Lunch was nothing to write home about. Staff were polite and friendly. Great central location - nearest car park (qpark) convenient but very expensive for all day parking. Worth a visit if you are in the locality.

We travelled for two hours to play here and it did not disappoint. We attended as a team of two to play Dr Watsons office. The room itself was very realistic with the puzzles very cleverly linked to the room. Our games master Lynn was wonderful. So friendly and polite, she really made our experience a brilliant one. Thank you! We will be back again.

We came as a party of 6 for the Peaky Blinders escape room. On arrival we were greeted and shown to the lounge which was lovely, here we received drinks and shots. The escape room was very well put together and also very challenging, the games master was great too! All the staff were very attentive, checking in on us often. Will definitely be coming back to try the VR experience next time!
