Islington & St Pancras Cemetery

Nice cemetery does anyone know why they got rid of the minibus service for visitors? It was very handy because my mother's grave is very far away from the main entrance..

Very disappointed with our visit for my father in law’s uncle’s funeral.I’m leaving this review to hopefully prevent this from happening again to anyone else.Having driven up from Hastings East Sussex we had a nightmare journey and massive delays on the motorway, everything seemed to be going against us! Luckily we set off very early and over 4 hours later we arrived at Islington & St Pancras cemetery with only a few minutes to go before the funeral.The entrance gates we arrived at were automatic and are supposed to open as you drive up to them, but the gates were closed and not in use.We had no idea where or how to get to the main entrance with no staff or information points close by either.There wasn’t really any proper information or instructions on how to get where we wanted, the main cemetery entrance.My wife put in some details in to her phone that was taken from the gate and this navigated us to another close by cemetery and not the one we needed!By the time we actually arrived at the main entrance (front gates) it was too late, we had all missed the service and had to wait outside for the service to finish and the guests to come out.I can’t help but wonder how many other visitors have had this exact same problem.PLEASE PUT BETTER INFORMATION ON THE GATES TO HELP VISITORS FIND THE MAIN ENTRANCE TO THE CEMETERY.

Was told today mini bus is now back and running at weekends

Load of us spent most of our time, stressed, wandering around, trying to find the right location .It’s not my job but needs something like a visible maps visible road names etc . Can’t be hard

I have been researching my family tree and having found two burials of interest I popped into the cemetery office in order to find out the precise location of the graves. I spoke to a lovely lady who couldn't have been more helpful in assisting me in finding the information that I was seeking.

Thank youTo all of the staff who have been so lovely and efficient when trying to trace an old family grave in order to purchase a new memorial stone for my lovely parents to rest there. Nothing has been too much trouble. Phone calls and emails answered. This really helps in emotive times.
