Don't believe a word they tell you.Wouldn't let me make an application without physically viewing the property twice to pick a specific flat (even though every flat is exactly the same?!). After I chose a flat on my second viewing and put forward my application, I was told not to do anything further while they 'made enquiries' about the Council Tax band (which some bright spark had 'miswrote' on their website).I rang back a day later and this daft-sounding lass told me that they had sold my flat to someone else and if I wanted to make an application I'd need to book a third viewing. Apparently someone failed to communicate that I had already made my application, which has now cost them my business.When I rang back a second time the old woman on the end of the phone got a bit flustered and started shrieking when I pointed out how much they'd messed me around - reckon she's used to getting her own way. Kindly declined her offer of a third viewing. No ta.

I've been renting for 9+ years, and have been with Maltings for the last 2 years and it has been the best experience I have had with any letting agency in the area! The team are so lovely and helpful, and any query or issue raised was answered/fixed promptly. The contractors used for any work carried out or annual checks completed were also great and seem to have longstanding relationships with Maltings which I think is a clear positive.From my first viewing of the property through to handing keys back in, the process has been simple and communication throughout has been great. I cannot fault the service I have had with Maltings and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a property in the area. If I were to rent another property I would happily go back to Maltings.

I have rented two properties from the Maltings, and their service is second to none! All the staff are freindly and helpful, and if there is an issue its dealt with promptly and professionally! The owner is exceptional and always goes above and beyond and I would highly recommend The Maltings.

Do not rent through this agency, the flats are in poor condition, and the owner does not care about giving the tenants good quality of life in the flats they rent. The pictures are from my previous flat, environmental services were involved and still they did not do anything about the poor conditions I was living. I could say a lot more but the pictures speak for itself.

Lived in one of their properties in Victoria Dock for a little over a year, I always found the team at Maltings swift to respond to my queries both via email and on the phone. They were always polite and professional but with a friendly demeanor and always did their best to sort out any problems. A very good letting agency.

Agent was late for a half an hour. And she has never seen the property before. Says a lot. Plus, I am not a fan of group viewing. You should be interested to get a good tenants, not me to impress you. Prefer Malborough on avenues

They dont deserve 1 star! The information that was given to begin with was terrible we could have moved in far earlier! The house when we moved in was sub-par yet we left it in a better state when we moved out and they still tried to fight it! The Manager is the most unprofessional person i have ever had to deal with! They held the deposit for more than 10 days and removed money without letting us know! They booked several viewings for the house we was in and told us about 3 which they still need to provide evidence of the ones that showed up! people need to know what they are like as they prey on people who wont fight back! STAY AWAY and go else where

Was with them for 6years. While most reported issues were dealt with swiftly when the tenancy came to a end that is when the problems started. We left the property in better shape than we found it. Yet they tried to justify not giving us our deposit back for stuff like the grass needed cutting in December? They then sent pictures which proved it didn’t. During our 6years I would call and speak to someone and they would sort things and call me back and was very good at communicating. But when we left the manager has failed to call back on a number of occasions to discuss issues around ending our agreement.To sum up good while you are with them just don’t ever leave as they will rip you off!

Do not go with The Maltings if you expect to see your full deposit back. Lovely and helpful throughout my nearly 3 years and then used any excuse to get me to foot a cleaning bill out of my deposit, after me chasing them for my deposit for weeks. Unprofessional, offensive and upsetting experience. Before I recommended The Maltings but not I would not go near them at all. No respect for their clients just after the money sadly.
