Attended a coat making workshop today. From the moment I entered I felt very welcomed buying the fabric and then into the workshop room I felt at home with other students. The set up was well prepared and organised with ample equipment and full size printed patterns. I especially liked the informal demonstrations of particular components of the coat and could ask questions as many times without feeling like I was annoying Elaine. Elaine was very friendly and let me stay a bit later to finish my coat. I will definitely be returning for courses here.

Great selection of fabrics for all types of projects. Plenty of hardware and notions to choose from. Love this shop!Also has workshops regularly.

I’ve done multiple classes here and my confidence has grown no end as a result. Elaine and the other tutors are very approachable and clear in their demonstrations. I always leave the classes having learnt new skills and (usually) a completed project!

Attended 2 day shirt workshop, having never made a shirt before. Fantastic experience that resulted in a lovely shirt that I will wear. Elaine is a brilliant teacher and the set up of the studio and equipment first class.Workshops are really good value for money and will provide you with skills that can then be used at home.

Hi been to the shop twice and it say it open on the website but it was closed I find the very fusstion as I am not able to walk well and I also find the gentlemen very rude and no customer service manor. I will now not ever to this shop

I booked the hoodie course and spent a brilliant day learning new skills from Elaine, who really is as patient and knowledgeable as everyone says! The atmosphere is very friendly and we all finished our hoodies that day. I'm now looking to see what I can make next!

Great haberdashery shop at reasonable prices. Attended a workshop which has been really good. Elaine is a very knowledgeable patient teacher and explained everything by demonstrations. We then got to practice on the fabric. All pattern pieces were cut beforehand which was a great time saver. Free tea and coffee with contribution box should you feel inclined to put some pennies in. Car park on Hill Street opposite only £1 for the day. Cafe Gusto opposite delivers to the workshop too. Great experience would definitely do again.

One of the rudist places I have ever been. I was welcomed with discuss by the gentleman staff member, who was not helpful or professional in any form. I would recommend staying away from this place unless you want to be treated as a lower class citizen, ignored and snubbed once he decides not to serve you. I will take my services elsewhere.

I attended my first workshop today with Elaine and a friendly bunch of ladies. The planning and instruction was excellent and the class was great value, even more so as the materials were included. I did the Get to know the overlocker part 1 and I'm keen to do part 2 . I came away feeling great and ready to have another go with my neglected overlocker which has been in its box and gathering dust and taking up space for several years.
