Alora Vets
My dog is an older rescue dog whose psychological trauma never really left her. The vets at Alora are absolutely amazing with her. They are very patient and understanding of her nature and trauma and go out of their way to get her checked over as best they can with as little presure on her as possible. Though her appointments can be upsetting for her, the vets always manage to get through checks and look over any issues for my lovely pup to their very best while ensuring she feels safe and untraumatised. I quite honestly applaud their patience and understanding, we couldn't have better vets for such an emotionally damaged pup.Thank you!Frankie and Bella

Took my cat here, staff were friendly, place was clean. Prices aren’t the worst. Not a lot of waiting so if you have an anxious pet it shouldn’t be too long for them.

I have been registered here for over 2 years, but I am thinking about changing it. the prices are crazy. the staff is indifferent and not pleasant. During the visit, I had the impression that I was the one assessing what was wrong with my dog, not the vet. no medicines in stock. I was sent home with nothing and I have to watch the dog... very sad how this clinic has changed. When I came here, I was delighted with how professional Tony is and his approach to my dog. but now I see people after college who gain experience on every patient. sad

Staff have always been really kind and friendly with our boy. I feel like he is in good hands. Only issue I've had is put a claim into our insurance company and it was voided as staff gave them incorrect info

Would leave a 0 star if it allowed. After calling yesterday and being told by receptionist that there were no appointments available until next week but if I called back tomorrow (meaning today) appointments are released each day so I may or may not get one.Even after explaining what my dogs symptoms were it was left upto to me to decide if it was an emergency or notI requested to speak to the practice manager to be told she wasn't back until the following day I asked for a call back. Its now after 1655 with still no call back. I have since emailed my complaint.I called another vets practice for the receptionist to suggest something to help my dogs gastric system and I could collect and try for a couple of days if that didn't help then a vets appointment would be made. While at other vets I called Alora again for my dogs history to be emailed to new vet practice. That wasn't an issue but neither was loosing a customer.I personally feel the staff are under trained and sometimes not very nice. These were never an issue when Tony Page run the practice. After speaking to quite a few people the practice has lost many loyal clients.Very disappointed that the welfare of the animal in question is not priority.Totally wouldn't recommend this vets practice to anyone.

Absolutely terrible! Our dog has never bitten anyone in his life and is always a little shy around new people but in no way vicious. When going to this vets , the vet that we seen did not even acknowledge or try to make him feel welcome in anyway! Demanded he got a muzzle put on him which made him very distressed. Vets are supposed to care for animals I didn’t see that at all in this practice moved vets after my last visit! Our new vets are so welcoming, they are brilliant and our dog has never been muzzled again as this was not needed and his kind loving personality is recognised in this new practice!!

Worst vet I ever was in. Some stuff is bad trained. Spend on my dog over £1500 in 2 months and dog still sick. Went to another vet and dog's healh was sorted in the first visit (£60) without telling what was done in Alora vet. Conclusion: they just want money and don't really care about smaller family members(pets).P.S. There are few good veterinarians, but you need to be very lucky to get examined by them.

Terrible exerience in new Alora vet when was Ayrton hospital the vet was different very helpfull now cant trust them.our great dane girl has large litter of puppies one smallest one gets weak and dying , we done artificial respirator, heart massage to keep her alife. We come at 5:20pm to clinic with few days old puppy for appoitment with dr Rebbeca directory of this clinic. They give her oxygen which we ask for only for 40 min cos they close at 6pm and not give her extra minutes to save her life .Dr Rebbeca have us advice to go to Glasgow hospital for night and day treatment but said the travel can kill the puppy as she is so weak and very low chance for her to survive , other option she gave us is put her to sleep :-( I said i cant do it and we took the puppy home and still work to keep her alive. Dr.Rebbeca disagree with our opinion and was not happy we want take her home cos she advice put her to sleep is better option. Dr Rebecca did not give her extra time for oxygen cos the clinic was open till 6pm but every minute was very important to help her feel a bit better. Unfortunatelly we take the wee one home still work to keep her alive feed her by tube, make her body temperature correct. Wee puppy is living now she is putting weight on and seems to be strong and happy - why doesnt the vet give her chance to live and advice to put her to sleep and cremate instantly,we cant trust the vet any more.Puppy is alive !!!
