Beach - Pub & Carvery
I recently visited after many years and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised how the place has changed. The atmosphere was lively and friendly, and all of the staff were welcoming and attentive. The prices were very reasonable. I'd highly recommend, even if it just for a cheeky cocktail!

Surprisingly fantastic experience. Hadn’t been to this spot in years after an average experience I had there, but felt starving after a walk around the lake so popped in. They’ve done the whole place up and there’s a great vibe there now, plus the service was fast and friendly. Biggest surprise was the food which was delicious. Highly recommend

We paid for 4 carvery’s, after paying they informed us on not having beef. We wasn’t pleased about this. We then proceeded to go and get carvery, we then found there was no roast potatoes, they said they would be 15-20min and someone will let us know when they’re out, half hour later none told us but we went and checked anyway and they was there but we noticed there was only 3 Yorkshire puddings out and a queue at the carvery. We did not have a very good experience here and we will not be returning here.

We came for a carvery after a walk around the lake with my two young kids the staff were welcoming and friendly. The carvery was tasty. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Looked like they had a nice play area outdoors for the kids. We will definitely be returning and would recommend.

I visited The Beach today and I had a roast dinner, I don't eat a great amount of meat and turkey I have given up on it. No matter how I cook it, or how much I pay it's not that good. The turkey at The Beach today was lovely it was so moist and tender. There was a good choice of veggies too, nicely cooked full of flavour. Great value for money.

I'm a little disappointed with the food.My partner had the carvery. Potato's looked and tasted like they had been made in a microwave. Gammon and beef was good.Yorkshire pudding was freshly cooked but extremely oilyI had the mixed grill.Sausages either undercooked or just cheap quality very soft.Steak was supposed to be medium, was rare. Poor quality steak.Forgot my onion rings.Gammon 5/5Chicken 5/5Egg 5/5Sausages 1/5Peas 5/5Chips 2/5Wouldn't visit again

We arrived at 15.30 and were told that the carvery would not be available until 16.30. We decided to have a drink and wait. At 16.00 we saw it was being prepared and by 16.10 it looked like all the items were in place. I asked at the bar if it was now available but was told no, we would still have to wait. I paid for it at 16.25 and was told we had to wait until 16.30. When we did get served some of the vegetables had started to cool down. We were also told fish and chips was not available.Price was good value.

Went for a lovely meal with my friends. Had a light chicken ceasar salad. Lovely and fresh. And a coke. Hollowingworth lake is a lovely place and the beach pub is in a love place

Went last week with family, had the steak and chicken fondue which was gorgeous, steak cooked perfectly. The grazers were all really tasty too and the carvery looked amazing. Would definitely go again! Pretty cheap too!

Pleasant restaurant with great lake views. They have a europarks car park which is free for customers of this establishment. The interior is lovely and welcoming and the staff equally so.We found ourselves a table and went to order, it took a little while to be noticed and I'd say I was waiting at the bar for about 3 minutes, not a problem normally if staff are busy, but it was with no acknowledgement of any kind.Ordered 2 meals a starter and 2 drinks and came to just over 30 pounds.Food was very tasty and the service was quick and friendly. 10/10 onion rings and chicken, a must try when visiting!
