Aquanauts

You will hear a lot of negative things within the Plymouth diving community about aquanauts, unfortunately it is all true. They are unprofessional and unorganised.I purchased a package of courses through them back in 2020, upon completing the first course (dry suit speciality) I decided that I no longer wanted to do any courses through them. At the time both in person and in writing they agreed to give me a refund (£275) for the courses I didn’t complete. As it turns out they had no intention of refunding me. It took 18 emails, 6 calls and the threat of small claims court to finally get my money back just a year and a half later!Although I found aquanauts as a whole to be un-helpful; Derek (my main point of contact) was particularly avoidant and unhelpful.I would advise anyone in and around Plymouth who is thinking of diving or buying equipment to NOT do it though aquanauts. Do yourself a favour and contact sound diving or indeep instead.

Brilliant company.I recently purchased an APEKS 500M dive watch from a different online dive store. I was contacted the next day to be informed they actually didn't have one in stock and couldn't get anymore as Apeks were currently shut (fair enough in these times) I asked for a refund and started to look else where when I discovered Aquanauts. They were showing one in stock but to avoid the same scenario twice I thought id put in a quick call. It was a Saturday so wasn't sure anyone would answer but to my surprise a very cheerful and helpful chap answered the phone and was extremely helpful I explained what had happened and he mentioned in the current situation he was only popping into work a few days a week but was sure he had one and if that wasn't the case not to worry as Apeks were still very much open and regardless if I placed my order he would get me one. Well its now Tuesday and I've just received my watch (on a DPD 24 hour service I didn't pay for ) I'm absolutely over the moon. This is the best customer care/experience I've had in a long time as you can see by my previous reviews I don't write them often but just felt so happy and pleased by the whole experience I felt it necessary.IF YOU ARE UNSURE OR LOOKING FOR A GENUINE REVIEW OF THIS COMPANY PLEASE BUY WITH TOTAL CONFIDENCE. THERE BRILLIANT!!!

Fantastic online shop and service!I ordered a dive computer yesterday and received it today, absolutely rapid delivery.There was a small issue where the dive computer I ordered was not available in the colour I ordered. I received a call immediately after placing my order that there was a mistake on their end, I agreed on a different colour and they took the unavailable colour of the website.Very friendly and proactive service.Many thanks to the Aquanauts team!

I came in for some scuber diving gear and Derrick was really helpful. He sold me a new halcyon wing and regs: coz I love the H’s.He also filled my tank, and must of known I had a bad shoulder so he didn’t make it too heavy. I came out with a 205 bar fill in my 15l steel Faber. (Which I hear is standard).Few other people in the shop bought wetsuits, one bloke complained they were pricier than lidl: what a bad man. His bad! He sounded northern, that was probably why.Accidentally I asked for a halcyon drysuit. Which he couldn’t get for me, even though I offered 7,000USD. He said it wasn’t available. So I said, “oh. My bad.”He looked like Id been down jesters at the weekend and done his husband. So I took my stuff and left. Sorry Derrick, that’s my bad.But on the flip side, can’t reckomend acuanoughts enuff.

Very helpful went here to get a new wetsuit fitted ordered while in store as they didn't have the exact one I wanted and had it delivered to my house for free within a week they also seem to have a lot of sale items at discounted prices which seem to be the cheapest on the internet so keep a eye on the store for a bargain or two I haven't yet used my points from the online store yet but prob will soon

Fab shop. My son and I went in to buy some snorkels and masks. The staff were very friendly and excellent with my son. We weren't rushed at all, were made to feel welcome, and because of their advice had an amazing time today!

I have dived with Aquanauts since 2001 and I am pleased to say I am loyal customer. Great service, friendships for life. Dive with Aquanauts you wont regret it.
