Plug&Drive - EV charger installation

Having ordered my first EV I looked into wall chargers. I found that many of the suppliers insisted on their own installers plus wanted a hub link to their company for usage monitoring...like a smart meter. I don't want a smart meter in my house and wanted a wall charger which simply works from its own App. Plug & Drive offered the ABB unit. Made in Europe. It is ideal. I have arranged my own installation. When I visited Plug & Drive's works in Tollesbury at Gibbons Engineering I was treated like a key account client. They were so good. Since then I have ordered a type 2 charge cable. These people are very professional and understand their client needs. They always get back to your emails too. Found this charging point on the internet and it was a no brainer of a purchase. Incredible value and brilliant support with any questions pre-sale.There was a slight niggle with registering your email for the App but nothing their support team couldn’t handle quickly.Charge point now installed and working a treat.Recommended!

The whole process was very easy. Gibbons carried out all the paperwork to apply for the government grant and agreed an installation date that was convenient for me. Their engineer, Dane, arrived on time, was clean, efficient and very professional.
