They get you in for a chat and make promises that they'll put you forward for suitable positions. If you're lucky, they'll phone you after to let you know that they're waiting to hear back from the employer. Then...nothing..... you'll end up hearing from them several months down the line phishing for information about where you're currently working so they can try and build some contacts. This is obviously with the intention of trying to drum up some business. Joanna Spence seems to be the most dodgy one working there. Just avoid the place like the plague!!

Waste of time. Unless you are an easy placement happy to go along with any old job you are offered, they will soon brush you under the carpet. Wasted my time going in for a meeting with them that seemed promising only to never hear anything again and have my emails completely ignored. They’ll talk up your chances and make it seem good when really they do nothing.

Cannot recommend Lauren from the Office Support Department more! This is the only agency im with that actually kept me up to date with roles even when there wasn't any (which wasn't very often!) and placed me in a long term temp ole after just 2 weeks of signing up and placed me in the perfect Perm role not even 1 month after starting the temp role! they really do go out of their way. Lauren called me at least 2ce a day with updates - a massive change compared to the other agencies that haven't contacted me more than twice each in 2 months. RECOMMEND!!!

I have been currently working two part-time jobs for the past month and a half now and i signed onto Hays recruitment many months back as my auntie recommended it. It is now November and they have only just sent an email about a job recommendation.Rather useless, wouldn't recommend to a friend or family member.

What use to be the best agency turned into one of the worst over these years. Full of self-centered, pompous individuals who have never done any real work themselves. They will pretend they care and lie to you. I believe most 5 star reviews are from their own staff and if you want to see what this agency is really about, see Trustpilot reviews for Hays.

Very poor agency. Matt D, who was my education consultant, didn't find any work for me. I spent money on a new DBS which was a complete waste of time. This was over a year ago. Zero emails.I did try to go into a new field through hays (as they were advertising work in marketing). Once again, no response.Since then I've joined JustTeachers. Far more professional and caring.DO NOT SIGN UP TO HAYS.

Wouldn't waste your time, promised to send job description through nothing been sent, called me yet don't bother email me asking who called I have been signed up for hays for about 8 months 0 interviews arranged whereas if you apply directly to companies you van easily arrange interviews.I wouldn't waste your time
