Visited the shop at darley dale and was greeted by a lovely lady who just asked us to let her know if we needed any help which was a great start. The shop itself is huge with a great selection, very clean and also a canteen area with drinks machine and toilets which is a nice bonus when you are spending a long time anywhere. There were no questions or stalking from staff and no desperate sales pitches but they were visible should we need anything. I didn't order anything today as I just wanted to view and try out the different styles before ordering the right size and colour. A very pleasant experience and I would highly recommend visiting the store before you order online especially if you just want to look around without being harassed!

Huge furniture store, with masses of stock displayed and reasonable prices. Staff are curteous and willing to help in selection. Toilets are available but the gents was a bit iffy, although my wife used the disabled toilet and said it was nice. A huge carpark with disabled parking and good flat access for those in wheelchairs or mobility scooters

This is a 2-star review but it should be at least a 4 or 5.We arrived for a booked online appointment for a sofa we had seen online. We arrived at about 7 pm. We looked around and found a spiky-haired, bespectacled consultant. He professed to know nothing about our online appointment but offered to help. This is where things went a little downhill. He was rather obtuse in his manner of helping us. Relatively dismissive of our views and seemed a little over-direct though super knowledgeable about the multitude of things he could upsell. For things like upholstery care and footstools, he was engaged In the hard sell and it made the encounter our first with DFS an unpleasant one. His attire stood out he wore scruffy jeans and looked a little tired. After all, it was about 8 pm before we left the establishment. The consultant's motives were genuine however I noticed he was from London as am I and the advice I would offer if I may is to try and understand the type and kind of customer that exists in Darley Dale. Recognise that direct or hard sell is less likely to yield satisfaction from customers you come into contact with. Even if they purchase an item. A customer of the moment equals a sale. A customer who trusts in a brand returns a lifetime of loyalty. The Darley Dale store is one of the most impressive visually I have ever seen. With its sweeping driveways and large pane windows. It is a spectacle to view.

Customer service:The staff here are extremely helpful and confidently knowledge about the producrs they have to offer. They was pushy sales people either and it was a experience to shop in.Environment:The showrooms are excellently laid out and the place is a little like a Warren so have a good wonder around first and try out some of the sofas. They also sell beds dining room tables and some accessories. The site is covid safe and appropriately clean and and comfortable. Wheelchair friendly for people who have mobility difficulties as it's mainly ground level with some raised areas which are ramps rather than steps.Quality:The quality of products here are great and the price is for the best part reflective of the quality. However, there is a range of sofas so they can help with all budgets. There is some good bargains to be had here and would definitely use them again.Summary:Good customer service without pushy sales people but willing to help where they can. The showrooms are covid safe and clean but explore the whole showroom first as it is like a Warren. The products are a good quality and woth a range of pricing for all budgets.5/5

Shocking customer care, was with my elderly dad, looking for a good sofa bed(13/7/23) after 15 mins we asked for help from a reluctant man sitting at a desk, we asked do you have any sofa beds) and he just pointed and said" these a few over there". Then a salesman was asked to help us

The majority of our furniture is from DFS and we have always been happy with their products. The staff are always very helpful without being too pushy.

The store manager at Darley Dale store must have the lowest level of customer service I have ever come across. We had endless problems with DFS and frustratingly they rarely seem to acknowledge the customer.Only shop here if you are prepared to be treated badly.
