We came here for Sunday lunch. We both had a trio of roasts which was really nice but the roast potatoes were over cooked so we’re like rubber.The pubs is nice and quaint and they had the log fire on which was nice in the cold weather.The staff were really nice too.

We’ve been a few times and every time has been great. The roast and the pie are delicious. Great atmosphere. Spotlessly clean, friendly staff. Definitely recommend to anyone!

We love a Vintage Inn and The Walton Fox does not disappoint. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The food was excellent and served without any delay. It’s a lovely building with a roaring fire and lots of ambiance. The desert menu is full of unusual and wonderful things. The honey pot is my favourite.

What a find! We stopped here on our way up to the north as it was the only option serving food at the time. Our expectations were not high due to the motorway/travel lodge location but the moment we got in what a surprise!! The place is lovely and well decorated! Cozy atmosphere and lovely service and staff. Would totally recommend.

Our first time in a Vintage inn. The service was excellent. The layout and atmosphere really nice. My wife's food, haddock and chips with triple cooked chips was first class. My calamari was a bit lack lustre, neither hot nor crispy, and a little more rubbery than I prefer. The chicken, bacon and avocado salad was presented superbly, except the avocado was so bashful it had not made the plate. I enjoyed 2 pints of Timothy Taylor's Landlord beer, well once I had returned the second pint which I am convinced was Doombar. So my recommendation is, definitely visit the Walton Fox, give the calamari a miss and check the rest of your food and drink is as ordered. However, they are an excellent and attentive team of staff and the food is presented really well.

Been here a few times now, more recently for my mums birthday. The service is fantastic and the meals are delicious. I had the lamb rump Sunday roast and everything was cooked to perfection by Paul. I was served by Elle and she couldn’t do enough for us, was so polite and nothing was too much trouble. It was my 1 year old son’s first time having a meal out and they brought a high chair over for him to sit in, which I found so helpful. I would highly recommend and will be returning in the future. Keep up the fantastic service and food that is served.
