I bought a Lowe Alpine ladies rucksack last year and the waist buckle was broken ! The manager was very helpful as I had contacted Lowe Alpine and they had referred me to the shop where I had bought it ! I could not find my receipt but that was Ok ! The manager kept me updated and within a few weeks, it was delivered to my door ! I had expected to collect it myself some 45 miles away !I will also say we have always had good service ! Obviously encouraging me to return to the shop.Thoroughly recommend

Went in today, felt like I was being watched like a hawk without anyone offering assistance. When I went to pay they served a man who was actually behind me, then the man behind the counter told me to pay at another counter. I went to that counter to find no one there, I returned to the original counter and said as such. No apology or acknowledgment instead he went and replaced a role in the credit card machine. I was paying cash but he didn’t ask. I stood there in silence, again no apology so I just left without the item I wanted. I’d rather buy from a shop that does not have male chauvinists working and one that has better customer service. Never again.

My husband bought a Rab Kinetic plus jacket from this company at a great price. After a couple of months a tooth broke off from the main zip. After taking advice from the shop, it was returned, to the to go through Rab's warranty process. This was done quickly and efficiently and he had a call from Cunninghams to say that the jacket had been replaced. It was with him the next day. Great helpful service.

Warning: shop will not exchange boots if they cause damage to feet! Avoid and go to a retail store where your boots will be easily exchanged

I have visited this store several times and had good experiences in the past. However, over the past year when I have been in there the staff have not been helpful at all. This weekend me and my partner were trying on walking shoes and the man didn’t speak a single word to us just stood watching. He also suddenly put a face mask on, put anti bac his hands twice whilst we were there - it was almost like he had covid as he was acting strangely.When investing in-store for equipment you hope to have some assistance/ customer service.

Absolutely fantastic customer service and knowledge from the staff at Cunninghams last weekend. I was looking for a new coat but no idea where to start! The lady listened to my requirements, and suggested a Rab jacket. After her asking me a few further probing questions and understanding the challenges with my existing products she actually downgraded" the spec I needed and suggested a different style (3 layer gore). She proceeded to show me the equivalent product in the different ranges they stock. She was honest in her advice

Top service from some lovely staff here today. They went above and beyond what I was expecting , being helpful, friendly and informative whilst I returned some faulty boots and got a replacement pair.Thank you and see you again. Keep up the good work

Very friendly staff, good choice of products.This is a very good, family owned business, in a really good location in Ambleside. Very interesting shop inside, spread over a couple of floors, a real refreshing change to your typical square chain store.Staff were very friendly and helpful, definitely dog friendly too, our puppy was given some biscuits while we browsed round!Very highly recommended
