I have just attended the three day Instructor course for Moving & Handling with Alison Meadows. The training was excellent and I am really pleased that I chose to complete this training with AMTD.I really benefited from 1:1 training with Alison which meant I was able to really focus on the staff team that I will be now instructing, The training provided me with an opportunity to produce a working lesson plan specific to my staff which was really helpful and also the opportunity to complete a micro teaching session.The facilities at the venue and the moving & handling equipment were also good and a lovely lunch provided - always a bonus!I would highly recommend this training and will certainly be looking at other training courses available with AMTD for both myself and for carers.Thanks again Alison for all your support during this training.

A great first aid course carried out by a very knowledgeable instructor Pat. She was fantastic all the way through and made sure everybody knew everything. I’ve been doing first aid for over 15 years now and this was by far the best course vie been on.

I have just completed, Moving & Handling Instructors Course with AMTD. The course was very robust, covered all the related laws and anatomy & physiology of spine and other body parts. I did the same course with Alison in 2015 at Runshaw College, Chorley but this time Alison updated this course a lot. I really enjoyed and learned a lot of new things and now I am feeling very confident to teach my staff at Helping Hand Domiciliary Care Service , Chorley. Alison as a teacher very competent and had a vast experience in health care and training & development. I recommended all my friends for AMTD and I would also take this opportunity to thank Alison for all her dedication for training in Moving & Handling and support other people.

As an experienced Moving & Handling Instructor myself I was very pleased I ventured from the North East to Blackburn and attend Alison's Lv3 Moving Handling Instructors course. A very professional lady and delivered to high standards. Alison's teaching ability, style and her subject knowledge was high class and she made everyone on the course feel welcome. Just finished a 3 day train the trainer moving and handling people course. I've been doing moving and handling for 10 years but learnt so much more on this course. Alison is lovely and extremely knowledgeable! I cannot recommend enough!

The most thorough, well thought out training programme I have ever attended. Effective, realistic demonstrations, resources and equipment. The programme content was both stretching and challenging however Pat’s vast knowledge and wonderful teaching skills were very evident. I was expecting an intense 3 days (It was!) but in a relaxed environment with time to ask for further help without feeling rushed.AMTD went above and beyond to accommodate my late booking and offer incredible value for money. I feel a lot better informed and competent in my first aid abilities. Thank you!

Just completed the 3 day Moving and Handling Trainer Course with Alison at AMTD.What can I say....absolutely fantastic. Comfortable venue which is well equipped with some of the latest equipment. Very clear training, activities and presentations, not including the discussions and practical demonstrations which were extremely informative and easy to follow to ensure correct delivery moving forward.....Small discrete group size to maximize the learning experience and refreshments and lunch are provided within the cost.Can't wait to deliver my first cohort soon.Gill CookNelson Group - LAL

When I needed a first aid certificate I wanted to use a local firm who could supply my certificate quickly and I didn't want to waste my time travelling. I got all that but what really impressed me was the quality of the training and for half the price of St john ambulance who I used last time ! I have recommended them to loads of my contacts as I think they were excellent value for money and total professionals !
