The Harbour Inn - Amble
This was a welcoming, child and dog friendly pub and restaurant. We booked for an evening meal on the day and although there was no room in the restaurant, they were able to accommodate us in the bar which suited us better. The staff were friendly. The food took a little while to come, but you'd expect this in a busy restaurant that prepares fresh food. When it did come the food was nice and well presented, however one of our dishes had been missed off the order. There were also small things missing from other dishes (eg. pickled onion from the fish and chip feast) and a steak was overcooked. We were told the missing dish would be prepared and brought out for us, but we'd managed to finish and pay without it ever appearing. A member of staff did apologise for this and explained that the kitchen was short a chef. Overall a friendly place and the food we did get was fresh and tasty, but the experience let it down a little.

Quite a nice dog friendly pub. Friendly staff. Good food. With portions sizes that are very generous. A good range of beers at a reasonable price. It's located a short walk from the harbour. We visited on a bank holiday weekend so it was very busy.

Harbour InnAmbleLikely Punch tied leaseOutstandingly good pub foodBroad menu. Vegan and non meat options have been thought about, are appetising and interestingOne of the best burgers I've had anywhere. Beats 5 Guys hands down.Service is informal on the ball, friendly and personable, they know their menuBeer line up is disappointingly unadventurous - ergo PunchedGood wine list - ergo not tied on winesAltogether great value making headway in the very foggy market

Visited the area on holiday with the dog and decided to stop here. Dogs are welcome in the bar. There is a separate restaurant part. Staff were friendly enough, and other customers also had a chat. We ordered a good amount of food off the menu, which was a very good quality better than I genuinely thought it would be. All washed down with a nice pint of Guinness. There are a few places to eat near there but honestly the food was great and a reasonable price, we will visit again I'd we are ever in the area.

Didn't stay in the accommodation. Food is lovely, very reasonably priced. Big shout out to the young waitress (slim, blonde hair) her customer service was spot on, nice friendly smile, approachable and super efficient. Nice clean restaurant area, didn't feel rushed overall a pleasant dining experience. Will deffo return.

Visiting from Canada with my British family, we had been out for the day and we were looking for an evening meal, literally by chance we pulled into a parking spot and saw The Harbour Inn.They fit all 7 of us in and thank God they did! Food was brilliant and the staff are really great. We loved it so much that we booked for another night, food & staff were just as good the 2nd time. Prices are more than reasonable for meal size and quality.I would advise booking ahead if possible as it is a busy spot!

Went a few times for a drink and ended our holiday with a family evening meal. All good. Enjoyed the Harbour beers (Amber and Gold). Good pub grub. Recent new ownership so not got many reviews which is a pity. Located near to the Harbour (obviously!) so very convenient.

Great place on a winters afternoon....Friendly and welcoming... Real open fire, always good to see. Good selection of beers and mulled wine on the counter.

Was slightly tricky to find due to sat nav not picking up a one way system, but got there in the end! Food was nice and what you would expect from pub grub. Bar area is lovely and welcomes dogs in the bar area. (we had 3 with us). Service was great and we didn't have a long wait to order or receive our food. We booked for the Tuesday evening but there were tables free so imagine you could walk in and get a table without booking. They also have a restaurant area but I didn't see that.
