Soul singers genuinely changed my life. I felt really alone as a new mum and it was nice to get out again weekly with my baby, do something for me, something I enjoyed. Singing is so good for your mental well being and so was meeting all the other lovely mums. I have been a soul singer for 4 years now and it has given me strong friendships and even a partner. I'd definitely reccomend you going and taking it up. MJ is amazing and the sessions are so relaxed and fun too!

Wow, I wish I’d discovered Soul Singers before! I attend the mums’ session - it’s something I do for me, but my 4-year-old loves it too. MJ is talented and welcoming, and the group is friendly and very well organised, with lots of toys for children of all ages. We sing a lovely variety of songs and it’s lots of fun with no pressure.

I've been attending Soul Singers since my little one was 3 weeks old and he's now 2½. I love the sense of community MJ has instilled in her sessions. It's an activity which I recommend for all mums as it's not about nursery rhymes. There's tongue twisters, pop songs, cultural songs, songs about empowerment and sea shanty's. You don't need to be a professional singer to go and enjoy! Soul singers has given me the confidence to push out of my comfort zone with love and support from other mums. I recommend Soul Singers for mums with kids of any age (I've heard it's really good when your children are at school!) Look at the website for days and locations!

I might be a bit biased but I love attending any Soul Singers sessions I can get too. Recently my own mental health took a nose dive. I made it a priority to attend the community sessions in Estover that had just started to practise what we preach - that singing is good for the soul. It certainly was!! Singing and laughing was just what I needed and the group stays part of my weekly routine.

I've been going to Soul Singers for just under 4 years now. It is a brilliant group for anyone who loves to sing and wants to do something for themselves. For me personally it has given me a supportive group of lovely ladies that genuinely care about each other and has improved my mental health after some difficult times after my second child. Its also lead by a wonderfully enthusiastic and welcoming person called MJ. Great to be able to bring along my children or go alone for some me time!
