Ted's

After a 6 hour snowdon walk we googled places to eat on our way home. So glad we caught this place b4 it closed! Really innovative & quirky menu! Friendly, cheerfull service from a young team and food was LUSH!!! Maple syrup burger was to die for ❤ def worth a visit!!!

I had a fantastic experience at Ted's Smashed Burgers! The place is visually appealing and the burgers are simply amazing, making it the best-looking burger joint in Barmouth. The burgers themselves were outstanding, surpassing even Five Guys in taste and value for money. My kids and I thoroughly enjoyed them. However, my wife ordered the nourish bowl and felt it lacked sufficient meat. The venue's decor is lovely and inviting. Regrettably, the service was a letdown, with no warm welcome or attentive customer service. We arrived at 18:00 with a queue ahead of us, waiting 40 minutes, which is understandable. However, better communication from the staff about the wait time would have been appreciated. If the service improves, Ted's could easily become the top burger spot in the village.

So glad the chippy was closed. We ended up going to Ted's and was very impressed. Less than a tenner for each meal. And it was beautiful ! Credit to the place. We will be back next time we're in Barmouth 100%

I absolutely love Ted’s! Everything about it is fantastic and you can tell that they love their food! It has a lovely area to eat in and has a brilliant style. The food was absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend for everyone.

Nice fresh food, good portions, a great new addition to the Barmouth food scene. Only criticism was that I was told it would be 20 mins but was more like 30/40. The staff were very apologetic and waiting 30 mins for the amount we ordered, at peak time was still pretty good in my opinion. Will definitely be returning!

Ted's was recommended to us by our AirBnB host and we are glad we visited! Nice set up inside with ample seating for the size of the place. Friendly service by the staff. The choices of food to suit different allergies etc is excellent. The food is simply amazing! We both had a Nourish Bowl and were not disappointed by the portion size, the taste and freshness of the food, we will definitely return in the future!

Myself and my fiancé visited today for takeaway. On entrance there were 2 members of staff behind the counter, we waited about 5 mins before someone actually acknowledged us which I thought was awful as they kept looking up, it wouldn’t of hurt to have just said we will be with you shortly so I got the impression that they weren’t bothered and my fiancé was ready to walk out but I wanted to try the spice box. Eventually one of the lads acknowledged us and I ordered a chicken spice box with curry sauce. We waited about 10 mins for food and once was ready we left. The food cos almost £10, and it tasted lovely, the chips were a little soggy and you get 5 small bits of chicken which I think for the price you should get a few more. I’ve seen comments from the owner on other reviews sticking up for the staff saying it’s a takeaway not a restaurant which I understand however that doesn’t compensate the lack of customer service, the staff need to go on a course to refresh upon this! Would I return probably not and not down to the food really more so how they treat their customers!!

I had the maple syrup burger.One of the best burgers I have ever had, rivals almost anything you'd find in London for a far greater price.I found this restaurant on the last day of my stay, I wish I had found it sooner, I could have explored more of their menu. When I return to Barmouth, this will be the first place I return to.Service was good.Was told the wait was 15 minutes, received my food 15 minutes later.

Firstly, I'd like to say that we were in Barmouth looking for a different restaurant but walked past Ted's and we were too tempted by an awesome looking menu! We took a seat and ordered. As you can see from the photos..the food was delicious. Completely love the menu. I'd like to see a non-fizzy drink on offer other than water... maybe apple juice? For the kids mainly.We forgot to order loaded fries, so i went back up to the desk but there was a large order in front of me. When I got to order, I asked the lady (who is lovely) if it would come out at the same time as the meal, the cook heard and said 'No. Well, it depends what it is'. Initially, i thought he was a little abrupt, but when i said it was loaded fries he said he explained that it might be just after because he cooks the bacon fresh- and so I figured, they've just had a couple of big orders and maybe it was more 'flustered' rather than abrupt. I only mention it because I wondered why it only had 3.6 stars and when I looked, it was a couple of comments about 'rude staff'. I wonder if that might also be misunderstandings. ANYWAY-It didn't affect our outing because they were accommodating and everything, including the extra loaded fries, was ready at the same time- which we were very grateful for! The food was delicious. Great portions, tasty, hot food. We will definitely return and hope this place does really well!!
