I recently completed the 344 Audio Post Essentials course and would really recommend it for anyone serious about progressing in this area. I had some experience but it has helped to fill knowledge gaps on workflow and terminology, and especially in the business of delivering audio work for clients. Extremely worthwhile professional investment. I have worked in Higher Education for 25 years and want to add that Alex is an excellent tutor and mentor, and the course design is fantastic and very well resourced.

My first time working with Alex was a pleasure - lovely chap who really knows his stuff. Thoroughly recommend using him for all your audio needs.

A brilliantly professional outfit. Alex and the gang at 344 Audio delivered 8 episodes of the Autism Through Cinema podcast for us and the quality of production was outstanding. They really understood the brief, even when there were additional complications. A joy to work with and very efficient.

After taking on the Audio Post Essentials course with Alex, my skills with Protools improved dramatically. The APE course was the best choice I could’ve made in education for post production audio. Alex is an incredible mentor that not only teaches you everything you need to do to get started in post, but also guides you, spends time talking through problems, has great knowledge in business and generally helps you become the professional you want to be.This is the only answer to learning the craft of post audio! Uni won’t do it as thoroughly, in such a short space of time and especially for the price.The guys at 344 ,along with current and old students, really support you - even after completing the course so it’s a real tight community. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

344 Audio Post Essential Course - Oct. 2022 to Feb. 2023-The APE Course at 344 Audio is a great stepping-stone and investment as a freelance audio creative. I found it very useful in getting to grips with technical side of Pro Tools (practising of shortcut keys, track laying in a session etc.), and learning more in-depth about the creative processes for each area of the audio post-process.Alex is a great tutor and I felt comfortable contacting him outside of the monthly session on feedback of the projects or to talk through techniques shown in the lesson. It was also great to discuss the business side of freelance work and the complexities that comes with it.Another part of the course I really enjoyed was working/connecting with fellow audio creatives from across the world and hearing their take on the projects. Overall, I feel the course greatly supports creative learning, personal and technical development.

344 Audio saved my film!!I'm so impressed with how they fixed my mistakes, crafting it to be a festival quality film all for a beyond reasonable price. After completing production on a low budget short film I put lots of time and care into, the initial results were just not what I had hoped. Many mistakes were made and after months of long hours editing, I just could not get the result I was looking for. I knew the best solution was to find the right sound engineers.There is much that sets these guys apart from other sound studios. After interviewing numerous sound teams, from the very first meeting it was clear that Alex was not only an absolute professional, but someone who treats every project he works on as if it were his own. This first impression proved to be true throughout our entire collaboration as they showcased experienced problem solving skills, patience with the mistakes of production, great advice from their vast knowledge, and ability to deliver in short amounts of time.But most important of all was the final product. Many of the films you see as amateur are a result of bad sound. The reactions of people before and after their sound design and mix were night and day. What people had originally saw as an amateur video, they were now saying Wow this feels like a real movie." If you are on a tight budget this is where you will want to use it to ensure a final product that is able to immerse the viewer through the runtime and keep them watching not as a favor to you

The wealth and depth of knowledge I’ve gained during the tenure of this course from the tutelage of @alexgregson.ig was worth every penny!The mentorship Alex and the people at 344 Audio provided was invaluable and I am forever indebted.

We used Alex and the 344 team for our BFI-funded short film. A fantastic facility and helped us achieve brilliant stereo and 5.1 mixes. Alex came with great ideas but was also sensitive to what we wanted to achieve, and was able to help out with questions after the session. Will definitely be using for our next film!
