The only grade II listed pool in the whole West Midlands? This is a fantastic place to go back in time and celebrate one of the most historic buildings and classic architecture in Birmingham. Just less than 5-7 minutes drive from central Birmingham on a good traffic day, this pool is located on Alcester Road with good bus links or a Uber ride away. The pool has changing rooms, toilets and showers all around it allowing you to be comfortable and staying in the same space. The staff are super friendly and amazing. This week as I have been told is the last week before the big refurb and the Moseley Baths will be closed until Spring 2025.Definitely a must visit if you are visiting Birmingham and I am most definitely looking forward to visit Birmingham once it is open again.

Used to love this place, despite lack of renovation over the decades I’ve always made the journey as I love the baths. Since reopening I made my way here twice for women’s and Childrens swim only to be told there will be a male life guard. The first time I was understanding as they had just reopened and advised this is something they should clearly state on their website. Today, I finished work early and made a 40 minute commute to the baths, I tried calling in advance but the phone line was not working. I arrived at 3.30 to again be told that there is a male life guard yet again. You are based in the heart of Moseley a 60-70% Muslim population meaning when advertising a women only swim or be it women and children having a male life guard defeats the purpose. So gutted but I will not be returning here. Wasted journey.

The baths are lovely & the staff are wonderful, theres nothing to fault here.My review is off the bases of coming to these baths my whole lifeHowever there's a clear issue when it comes to swimming caps, at mixed sessions the rule isn't enforced, Caucasian or white passing women with long hair are constantly let in, never turned away or asked to purchase a cap, this is also extended to their children. At the women's only sessions where it's mostly women of colour, the rule is enforced. I've seen women be turned away, some purchase caps at the reception, some sit on the bench while members of their family with caps swim.Men with long hair are never told to wear a swim cap.If this is truly a community pool then it needs to cater to everyone, I'm sick of seeing how easily the rules are bent .The only time there should be any exceptions is for children, especially those who have come to the swim baths independently.I agree that swim caps should be worn, however that rule should be for ALL people with long hair. Not gender or race specific. Please do better.

I used to go to MRB quite regularly - usually the BeActive sessions and the early morning swims. The timetable gets changed so often its quite difficult to be able to swim here on a regular basis. It is great that it caters for all and is inclusive of all groups but it really limits the times of when you can actually lane swim unless you are free during working hours. Would be great to get early morning/evening swims back which are inclusive to all.

Staff are lovely and good size pool. Unfortunately, I've stopped going there for three reasons. One - you can't reserve a spot online. Traveling all the way there with a toddler on a 50min bus ride, arriving 10min before the session then finding out they're full. Has happened 5 times. Frustrating. Two - if you have a child's pushchair, you'll have a hard time lugging it up the stairs since there isn't a ramp at the front of the building. There is a wheelchair ramp at the back of the building that leads straight into the pool area but child's pushchair aren't allowed to use them.Three - the changing stalls located in the main pool area are very small/tight when changing with a small child. Had a hard time changing my daughter and then myself, trying to keep the clothes dry. A bit of a struggle. Wish they had larger changing stalls for parents' with children.

This place is amazing. The staff are lovely and polite. I would like to thank the manager for having woman only or woman and girls only sessions. It needed in that area and it has encouraged many woman to swim. Thank you for given us this opportunity as it's not widely available and you offer these sessions at very regularly throughout the week. So impressed

Fabulous Edwardian swimming pool run by local friends group. Please go for a swim to support them. There's character here you don't find at leisure centres.
