Staff here are friendly and helpful. However since Homebase has been taken over the store has a scruffy, cramped and down market feel about it; most definitely this is not the shop it used to be.

Far more organised than the cow shed that stores many of the goods in Homebase Stanway wasting so much of my time. However, both stores have extremely helpful staff. Bought what I needed at a reasonable price. Both stores need much updating to make the shopping experience more enjoyable. Store layout. Consistent stock coding. Correctly labeling and pricing of goods. Improved online pictures and descriptions. Correct stock records.

Had an appointment with the Homebase kitchen designer which started late and finished late due to the previous appointment running over. We now have a Parking Charge, from G24, for £100.00. Tried to contact Homebase and got passed around. Zero rating for customer service. Zero rating for scam charges and zero rating for treatment of a disabled customer.

Homebase carries an extensive range of home and garden items but the store is of a size that doesn't take all day walking around trying to find things. I prefer this to the 'megastores'.

No staff on shop floor . Lawn mower not priced up when I finally found a staff member he didn't know the price he said also he didn't have the instructions book so was unable to sell it to me.
