Dela from Ryhope.2018 reported black mouldy walls. Nothing done in 4 years.Social services moved us out of house just before Xmas because we were told by social services the black mould would kill my 8 year old daughter. Meeting today 3rd Jan 2023, still have to pay rent yet can't live in house that is too bad to live in, can't give a date when able to move back in. Is this legal

This company have gone to ruin, you carnt get a repair and if your one of their tenants, your stuck and if u apply for a new home you carnt have on, there to busy helping new customers rather than existing customers,

Worst housing association. Just out for money. They dont care. Competly unhappy with gentoo. They have no idea what its like to live with physical disabilities. They do not have compassion or empathy. I am a electric wheelchair user. And trying so hard to get a complety wheelchair accessible bungalow. All I want to do is keep my independence.

Worst housing association, walls are paper thin and are a mess. The house is full of damp. Bath is not working and they have told me I have to wash myself in the sink and waiting a week for appointment, no electric shower or fire in property as gentoo are removing them, which is stupid as everything is going electrical, most of the houses in the street are full of damp and have rats. Don’t move to maple terrace.

Absolutely terrible experience. I've been living in a house that was adapted for disabled needs for 4 years and Gentoo still didn't remove the toilet brace even if I was promised all will be sorted before my move. I have many other stories and no different to people who already posted their review. Years ago it definitely was s different company, these days Gentoo is not a customer friendly one. All is about building more and more cardboard" houses

Been waiting 6 months now for them to do a repair. Same electrician came out 3 times to fix a extractor, said it needed replacing after the first visit (said he ordered a new one)He came out the second time (because i called it in again over a month later) said he didnt know anything about the job, so i reminded him( same electrician) he checked the fan again and said it was broke..and he would order one.Came out a third time (same fella) no fan, Said he was ordering it again absolute piss take.Also they wont redecorate all the damage done by there fella removing the access panels..they are a joke

My girlfriend who lives in 3 bedroom house that she rented from Gentoo ,she lived there for 50 years with her parents ,was a very very very happy home she's hard worker always worked payed her rent council tax , she sadly tragically lost both her parents in matter off short time 10 weeks, now she's been suffering really heart breaking , losing her both mam&dad and Gentoo telling her she's got to move out the house when she's get somewhere else to live if only she ain't going though enough torment and emotional mental brake down you telling me that you care about getting people right accommodation to suit them on your video I seen was I though bit contradictory way you said we can help find place to suit people them be happy to live right suitable place,as you kept saying make them happy ???? She's had mental brake down in the past as a child I not ganna mention it , nearly drove her to suicide need say no more ,Gentoo please look at this case again have some kind of heart to lett her stay in that house for God sake , she well ?deserves it she's not sleeping think she's tipping over the edge soon please acted on this now not just take it as you just doing your job .

Took FOUR WEEKS to fix a leak in the heating system, causing the flat below me to suffer water damage. Spent more time on hold than talking to people who were interested in trying to solve the problem. Replies as to when the repair would be carried out went from vague to zero very quickly. Staff at the repairs office very unhelpful; promised phone calls on progress weren't made and one guy thought it was 'a holiday' for me because I happen to work dayshift Monday to Friday. Heating engineers and Housing Officer polite and sympathetic but their hands were tied because of the archaic method used to hold inventory and get repair updates. I was told a joiner would be coming out to complete repairs to boxing that was removed around the pipes when the repair was finally made, so maybe sometime in the next 12 months?Is it a coincidence the leak was reported the day after Euro 2016 started (13th June - a Monday) and fixed the day after it ended (11th July - also a Monday), or am I just being cynical?

Wallsare crumbling and are soft enough to invite local field rats into the cavities then into the house dogs dont seem to deter them at all.Walls internally are damp moldy making the wallpaper curls off the walls. ceilingscracked.worst thing about it ..theyve known for over 2 years and still nothing.
