Big fan of the Helmsey branch and lunch here didn't disappoint. Phenomenal belly pork perfectly served. Coffee and service also spot on. Easingwold already has some great eateries and Mannion and Co are a terrific addition. Can't wait to go back.

Lovely meal and great service.Highly recommend the evening menu. Main meals and deserts were outstanding . Coffee great and the fudge completes a fab experience.

Wow again , I had the same dish again as loved it in Helmsley , the eggs Benedict with smoked bacon and truffled hollaindaise was just amazing and me being cheeky asked if I could have a wee little side of crushed fresh peas which made a lovely extra. The staff were bright and vibrant and my kind of chatty , thankyou x

1st visit today for an early lunch, definitely not the last. Food was fabulous steak sandwich and mackeral on sourdough with caper butter, something a little different was amazing. The indoor space is lovely as were the staff

Delicious food, with well thought through flavours and beautiful presentation, cool decor, great coffee, and wonderful service.The two waitresses in particular were a joy - a testament to the business.Cannot rate this place highly enough

We went for an anniversary celebration to a Venetian themed set course menu at £40 a head. First impressions were good but we were squeezed into a small corner table in a room that was overcrowded and so noisy we asked to move - we could not have a quiet conversation at all.The front room was quieter but the aligned small tables felt regimental rather than conducive to a romantic evening.The first course was focaccia with a meatball - both of which were delicious but, sadly, proved to be the only dish we would return to eat.Some mixed seafood baked in a clam shell came next - but was unremarkable.Spaghetti with scampi was OK but separating the minuscule amount of meat from the 2 crustaceans was not worth the effort and the thin sauce did not coat the pasta.A duck ragout with truffle polenta followed which was tasty but I could not distinguish any truffle.Dessert was a pistachio and cherry ice confection - where the sweet cherry flavouring overwhelmed - and a chocolate mousse that lacked the bitterness needed to contrast with the cherry unfortunately.Overall the service was good.Generally we felt it was over-priced and a disappointment. We are local but doubt we will go again.And in response to the reply from Andrew the cook-I realise negative reviews do not help local businesses - and I only give them when I truly believe they are warranted. I also agree that £40 is not expensive for a 4 course meal - but if you do not enjoy the food even £1 would be money poorly spent.And snide remarks comparing me to Jay Rayner is puerile and not conducive to customer relations.Disappointed with this response in reply to genuine criticism.

Venetian evening! Wow!! What a fabulous experience! Fabulous food fabulous atmosphere & service wonderful as always very professional but so friendly & attentive. All courses came with a full explanation of ingredients & the restaurants that served the dishes in Venice itself. Absolutely excellent value for the quality portions. We shared a recommended bottle of Sauvignon which was so reasonably priced for the quality. Every course was so delicious we felt we were back on the grand canal in Venice. The desert was by far one of the best I have ever tasted. The truffle in the polenta was so perfect my husband said he could taste it for hours after. We ended the night perfectly with vin Santo & delicious cantuccini. The only disappointment is we are actually in Italy when the next Tuscan night is on in September so can’t wait for many more in the future. X

I rarely write a review, but it is rarely that I come across such quality food at such reasonable prices. As someone who lives in Italy I like and am used to good coffee - here the coffee is good and the home made biscuit with it - excellent. As for me lunch - eggs Benedict- I have never had better. The 2 eggs were poached perfectly in water, the 3 rashers of smoked bacon perfect - as for the sauce - first class. I will be craving this for some time to come!

My husband and I along with two friends attended the Venetian themed evening in July. It did not disappoint!!! The atmosphere, food and service were all excellent as was the wine we chose to go with the four courses!! We had a fantastic evening and cannot recommend highly enough. Looking forward to the next one!
