The New Inn
A lovely friendly pub accepting of children and dogs. It has amazing decor, you notice something new wherever you look. Have been on a tour of the area and its local eateries. Food is of a high quality at a reasonable price and they know how to pour a decent pint unlike other pubs in the area. As a first time customer we were very impressed and most definitely be back

Visit on 22/08/23. The pub was not busy.Pros: Lovely dog friendly garden area. Lots of room for children to play. Food was ok.Cons: The service we received was terrible, which was a real shame as it’s a lovely looking pub. Apart from the cook (who bought out some of our food and was very pleasant), the staff were unwelcoming, were lacking basic service skills and generally made us feel like we were a burden. We had no greeting, our drink order was taken begrudgingly, there was no offering or information about menus, no offer to help carry drinks. After not being offered dessert and having to go and take a photo of the board ourselves, we were then abruptly told food service would end in 10minutes. The staff just wanted us gone. We were all in good spirits as we were there for a family birthday, but we were treated like an inconvenience.

Arrived at the New Inn with high hopes for a lovely pub meal and drinks following a walk around the nearby Shrawley Woods. We arrived to find the manager at the car park who said we needed to pay £3 to park - I don’t begrudge paying but seems a little unfair to charge patrons who are buying food and drink also. We went inside to pay the fee as we only had card and decided to also get a drink before we started our walk. The manager then came up to us whilst we were enjoying our drinks to ask whether we had managed to pay the fee! We would have come back for further drinks and food following our walk but found it to be rude and inhospitable so didn’t bother. As the pub is in a great position for walks it seems a shame to put paying customers off like this as we would have come back and spent another £30-£40 on food and drink had it been more welcoming. A real shame and unfortunately wouldn’t return due to this.

A pub with farming character, quirky but welcoming and pleasing. Make sure your hungry as Chef likes to give you a good feed. Oh boy, it's certainly that.Wonderful well cooked local produce, fresh as the daisies. Beer is knowledgably well kept, which is a bonus. Lovely gardens too.Strongly suggest you book ahead.Worcestershire's best kept secret!

Having been a regular to this pub for 10 years now, and seen many changes. The team here are first class. Fun, and friendly, the camaraderie that flows from the landlady and landlord through to the managers staff the customers is something needed in the pub trade. Other people may think I'm biased but that is why it is my regular with locals who are amazingly accommodating. Cannot fault. Those who negatively think they have a right to park in their carpark and go walking in the woods without asking permission or eating and drinking there should ask what if it was their business would they want a customer parking space taken.

Do not go here if you have a toddler or children. My 2 year old very quiet Grandson was not allowed to play with a soft ball! Overheard locals saying children should be made to leave B4 9pm! Very unwelcoming and will never go again, though bar staff nice. Might as well just ban all babies and children and be done…

Our first impressions were; lovely outdoor space, inside the atmosphere was friendly and warm and everywhere was very clean. The bar staff were welcoming and obliging. Beer was really good and the pub food tasty and plenty. We enjoyed a really good evening, a special shout out to Sue. Thank you!
