Brilliant training! I had thought I was relatively good at communicating with people with English as a second language, but have learnt how to be even better! I was also impacted by the videos that gave us experience of being in the other person's shoes ie. Not understanding the language. I'm looking forward to putting what I've learnt into practice.The training is really well done, very interactive. Thank you Shelley!

This training was realy nice. Information which was provided by Shelley was structurise and clear.I think this training is very important for cosmopolitan teams. The teams can be very different and for this reason the training is very flexible. I understand that it wasn't easy to prepare for this training, because there are a lot of factors influence. For example, It dependents on what areathis team works in. I liked that before training Shelley organised the preparing meeting which I think was very useful for our team, because Shelley tried to get into the situation. Also, I felt that this trainingwas created by professional who understand the problems with language barriers and understand situation from the inside.I hope this course can be useful for many people and it will help multicultural teams to improvetheir communications inside of the teams.Thank you, Shelley, for your professionalism and patience to us))

I found this course very easy to follow with great teaching tips . I found that Shelley models good practice throughout the course . I have already recommended to my Supervisor for other Foster Carers to access

Shelley was great. We had a group zoom meeting to help with communicating in English with those for whom English is not their 1st language. We learned to speak slowly and clearly, and feel comfortable, and sound natural. We were able to practice and improve. This training is great for many areas of work, where good communication is needed. Even if an interpreter is present, the skills learned in this training module would improve communication. I highly recommend this training.

I did the training this morning and I enjoyed it immensely!Shelly, the trainer, is extremely engaging.I learned so much, simple things that you wouldn't normally think about, facial expressions for example, lol. Shelly breaks it down perfectly why these small things matter. It's really informative and enjoyable.I'd definitely recommend this training.

Shelley's training is both engaging and enlightening. I have learnt an incredible about in just two sessions that will be incredibly useful both professionally in the Comms work I do within the refugee sector, but also in my capacity as a volunteer in a local community resettlement scheme.
