Please avoid this place.I moved in to a flat full of broken things (doorhandles, washing machine, dirty carpets...) they took forever to either fix them or simply didn't bother with them.Mid tenancy I asked for a new bed and was emailing the agent that I had signed the tenancy agreement with. Little did I know she was no longer working there and no one had taken the time to let me know. They are also incredibly bad at answering the phone and after having enough I went to their offices and found there was no one to be found during opening hours.I have also been asking for a receipt of all my payments since April and I am yet to receive it. There was a point I was asking weekly about the receipts and mattres.Finally, I had to chase them up in order to get my deposit back and had to mention the contract in order to do so in an email where I cc'd everyone in the company. Before I took this measure I tried to call the agency 11 times without a reply. (Hasn't been the first time I have called so many times and no one replies)Forget about the emergency contact. It is deactivated. My first week, my key stopped working and no one had bothered to tell me the code to get into my building. It was 11pm, no neighbour was home and I was locked outside. Emergency phone? Deactivated.The only reason I am giving this two stars is for Amy who used to work here. She was the only one that got things sorted. The rest of the hassle and frustration this agency has given throughout my tenancy hasn't been worth a penny of all that I have paid for a flat that was falling apart.Do not rent with them.

Amazing service from City Red today , Chris and Mark went above and beyond to help me with furniture removal . Byron organised everything with no issues , very impressed overall thank you all

EDIT: Having wrote this review, within minutes I received a call from the person I was in touch with in Leeds, Byron, apologising for not returning the deposit and overpayed rent and returned everything in full practically instantly. I really appreciated this considering I assumed the money was never coming back. It does make me feel this may have genuinely been a mistake - thanks for sorting this out!Didn’t pay me back my deposit from 2021 and still don’t pick up the phoneI stayed in a property with Cityred while living in Leeds with 2 friends from 01/07/20 to 30/06/21.After leaving the house we cleared it out completely and cleaned it to a standard Cityred themselves said was good. They emailed us saying we would receive our deposit back in full (£600 between 3 of us).They then claimed they didn’t have our account information, which doesn’t really make sense considering they just needed to check where it came from, but regardless we sent them the information again. But they didn’t send any of the deposits back.We had also sent them additional rent by accident because a direct debit wasn’t cancelled and they said they’d return that, and nothing was sent.Since then we have all emailed and called them countless times but they still haven’t replied/picked up despite our efforts.It’s now been over a year and a half since we left the place and when I call they’re line they still don’t pick up.I understand being busy, but a year and half to withhold such a large sum of money and not even attempt to explain/rectify the situation is just unacceptable.If you’re worried about being messed over when you leave or being able to contact an estate agents when you have a problem… don’t go with Cityred!

My experience with City Red Properties has been amazing so far and I’ve been with them for 3 years! Lovely people, very professional and enjoyable to be around.Byron made me feel so comfortable especially as i was getting my first house, talked me through the whole process and was so reassuring.

Currently a tenant with cityred and my god trying to get ANYTHING sorted with them is incredibly frustrating and difficult. Constantly being told yes we will call you back" but do not hear anything at all! I have been waiting over 2 weeks for a simple L shaped sofa to be delivered and keep getting pushed and told i will be called today but do not hear anything. We needed a new bed as the old one was infected with carpet beetles from the previous tenant (obviously a proper clean down wasnt done) and had to wait just over a whole month for a bed!DO NOT go with these guys

Byron was a very big help for us, found a property that suited our specifications straight away and exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend

First letting agency which has not made us wait to compete against 6/7 people. We got in the house with no issues with the property. 3 days after moving in I have met the Landlord who is just as friendly as his staff. He introduced himself and asked how I was settling in. Genuinely great experience would recommend Cityred to anyone
