Outdated process for change of ownership or doing anything for that matter. All done by post and cheques!! After sending V5 and the long winded paper form I heard nothing for weeks. Turns out they were waiting for Bacs payment!!! Did they tell me their bank details? No. Did I ask for them, yes, twice! If I had done nothing I think my form would have just been ignored. Remains to be seen how useful the system is but it did at least reduce my insurance by the £20 change of ownership fee. What I don't like though are all my parts etched with their markings! Certainly not a system I would choose to get on my bike but it was already on it.

Complicated sign up and takes too long also could not add items to the tag system as it would not recognise the details given to me by datatag, will be cancelling my policy which incorporates this system

Digger stolen, made no difference at all, all reported, nothing more from Datatag at all, no follow ups, I'm not sure they do anything other than charge you for a sticker.....

I feel secure now!

Great Deterrent for theft as very difficult to remove the sticker so they will steal another bike also have it prominently displayed on my trailer

Have always had Datatag on my motorcycles and now on all of the families push bikes too. Never had to call on it (maybe that's saying something) but like the insurance discount and peace of mind, and fact there is NO annual renewal fees.

After I purchased my motorbike, I was happy to discover it had a factory fitted DataTag. After a quick phonecall (just before closing time) with Danny on helpdesk, he informed me there would be a form to fill out (all by email) and a payment to be made. I was told there would be a two week grace period in which time they would attempt to contact the previous owner. After this expired I was contacted by Jayne (again, very friendly and who also responded very quickly to a few questions I had). All in all, FANTASTIC customer service to the aforementioned individuals at DataTag. A credit to your company. With thanks.Chris

I purchased a pre-owned motorbike. Trying to get the DataTag registration changed is a complete nightmare. They are unhelpful, same automated reply time after time. If I didn't need it I'd drop them like a brick
