We have popped in here a few times during our holiday. The staff are really polite even when very busy. The food was standard pub food but the dirty nachos are amazing. Drinks usual tourist spot prices but not ridiculously high. The terrace over looking the beach is a great place to sit and look over the beach and watch the sunset.

One of my favourite places to have a Sunday roast. Had the beef last time I went there and it was delicious. Great selection of veg as well. Great place to walk the dogs and then come in for some food

Lovely pub right on the seafront - drinks reasonable price for the location (£5-6 a pint) and staff really friendly. Was apprehensive of trying the food as some bad reviews but all had lovely food and will definitely be going back! Always check the specials board - there was a sirloin steak special for £15 and was really good quality!

The best place we had meals In Cornwall. Really worthy and will be back again. Food was delicious and staffs very friendly and helpful.

We didn't eat there but the meals we saw looked very nice and the table we we're near all had empty plates when they had finished eating. We went for the Friday night quiz. Excellent atmosphere, great service and a very jolly, (although fast thinking) quiz. A happy place on a miserably cold and wet night.

We all decided to go there after a recommendation from my brother. We had ham, eggs and chips with peas. Delicious food and delicious beer.

The place was pretty much empty apart from 1 Xmas party. Had a main meal with the intention of having the sticky toffee pudding for desert. We were at the point of ordering desert when we were informed they had no deserts. None, nothing at all. Disappointed.

It's always been a regular place for us until this year. New ownership hasn't quite got it together yet. The menu is boring, and the food standard has dropped. Whilst eating the meals indoors, I asked if we could have glasses instead of the plastic ones. Unfortunately, we were told no, only plastic. Shutting the pizza hut I feel was a big mistake. Although the upside is that it's right by the beach with outdoor seating.

If your visiting Porth the Mermaid is well worth a visit located right on the edge of the beach with plenty of outdoor seating giving you a view of Porth beach. During my visit I had the 10oz Gammon washed down with a pint of Thatchers Haze both very nice indeed and good value for money.
