Very friendly environment and a very dynamic style of Aikido. Caters for all levels from complete beginner. You can trust the higher-graded people - they know what they're doing!

The atmosphere of this aikido club is collegial and friendly. The senior students are patient and helpful and the lack of any sense of competition or aggression was in line with my expectations of, and reasons for choosing, aikido as a martial art. The sensei is helpful and approachable but also expects a high level of precision in the techniques, which is important for effectiveness and safety. There is a sense that the skills learnt in the classes have intrinsic value but will also be beneficial if one had to defend oneself.

Very friendly people and dynamic practice, great balance between women and men, and a wide range of levels among a large group of students. Whether you are considering to start aikido or you are only passing by for a short visit this is a great club!!!

Edinburgh aikido is welcoming to begginers and newcomers alike with a friendly atmosphere. The teacher has a balance between pointing out things you need to improve while not overwhelming you whatever your grade is.There are a number of senior students that, on occasions, teach the class giving a different way of looking at the technique.I have done aikido for two years some time before starting in this club and have improved much in the year and a half that I have had in this dojo.If you are thinking of starting aikido, or a martial art, come along.

I started training in Aikido at Edinburgh Aikido Club and am very grateful for the wonderful introduction to this beautiful martial art I was given there. The Aikido being taught is technically excellent and precise, the training dynamic and the atmosphere very friendly. I can highly recommend this club to both beginners looking for a new challenge or experienced Aikidoka looking for a new home.

Whether you're a complete beginner looking to try out Aikido, or have some experience already and are looking for a new club, I highly recommend Edinburgh Aikido Club. I began training here just over 3 years ago after having studied Aikido elsewhere in the UK. The teacher and students were very friendly and welcoming and within only a short time I felt that I had found my new Aikido home".Classes are dynamic
