All of the staff here are so knowledgeable and friendly. Firstly, they handled our dog's reactivity sensitively and without judgement at the surgery. Secondly, as first time owners it was overwhelming not knowing what to expect when our dog ruptured her cruciate ligament, but Dr Butterworth and the team of nurses guided us through everything from different surgery options and their success rates to medications, aftercare and insurance and payment processes. It made all the difference knowing our dog was in such safe and friendly hands during an immensely stressful situation.

Great vets, everyone is so friendly and professional. They understand the stress and anxiety we feel with our poorly pets. I would recommend them to anyone, very caring and extremely helpful.

I can’t recommend them highly enough. It’s quite a scary world at the moment but when you have to take your beloved pet for treatment, that’s what you do.I haven’t been out a lot since the first lockdown, I have a young family and an elderly parent that rely on me to stay safe and keep them safe. But when Doris needed to go to Weighbridge Referral Centre, I called and spoke to them. They couldn’t have been more helpful! They explained their COVID Safe procedures to me. They made me feel relaxed, ( well as relaxed as I was going to feel in these times and when my poor Doris needed treatment). When I took her to them, they were amazing, explained everything again to me, made sure I understood and managed to make Doris and I feel supported and looked after.I really can’t thank them enough for their help and support! Doris is doing so well now, tucked up at home, and I may be having a glass of wine to relax.

Had a really bad experience with this place and I never leave bad reviews but I felt this needed to be mentioned.I spent £190 for a consultation here that lasted about 5 minutes to be told that they couldn't tell me anything without x-rays. Before the consultation I'd stated I didn't think surgery was the best option due to age of my animal so I was very much looking at hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy option and I was there for advice on the best plan of action to move forward...After they took my money, I got told they wouldn't tell me anything without x-rays which would mean putting my old dog to sleep (a risk in it's own right). I wasn't comfortable with the extra risk when an x-ray wouldn't have given significant supporting evidence a physio/hydro would need to proceed with treatment.I called up weighbridge later to discuss it all with them and try and get more advice as I literally felt like I'd had my money taken for nothing and I was practically bullied on the phone by them and came off the phone crying as all I want is what's best for my animal. My partner wanted to discuss everything with them as at this point I was a nervous wreck and they point blank refused to speak with him.I saw a totally different vet practice that day for a second opinion. They took their time with my anxious animal and managed to do a much better examination due to the time they gave. They assured me they did believe hydro and physio could help if surgery wasn't something I was keen on and referred me to an amazing place.I totally understand the legal side to vets practice and them wanting to be sure before giving advice but this place truly felt like they were angling at surgery and higher risk assessments that I had made clear from the beginning wasn't what I wanted to do. I felt literally bullied when I asked for more information and it's honestly the worst and most traumatic customer experiences I've ever had. I was even adviced to report it...Vets are meant to help you weigh out all options and I very much felt bullied into one by this practice. I was looking for knowledgeable advice and possible options and I got a single ultimatum with no information. They wouldn't even recommend how to keep my animal comfortable in the mean time with the amount of rest/excercise or medication. I left that practice with considerably less money, a whole load of anxiety and truly nothing else.Luckily my vet is amazing and my hydro/physio centre is also AMAZING and my animal is doing a million times better now, we are all amazed by her progress but absaloutely no thanks to weighbridge referrals and they cost me a fortune for the torture... Money I could have used towards more physio/hydro treatment. Going here was a massive mistake. I didn't want to write this as I didn't want to bring it all back up as it literally enduces anxiety in me when I think about the experience but I felt I needed to put this out there.

Our dog has been here twice for cruciate ligament surgery on both back knees. He is normally terrified of the vets but must have been treated very well here as he came home happy and isn’t scared to go back for check ups. He recovered well from the first knee, and is now on the mend for the second one. Thanks all at Weighbridge!

We were referred by our vet who because one of our dogs was showing signs of elbow dysplasia after having a limp on and off for several months. We went to see Steve Butterworth who recommended we take our dog for physio instead of an operation. The physio worked. It turns out our dog had never learnt to walk properly, but now does and no longer limps at all.The staff are also very friendly and helpful. They are considerate to your pets needs and very welcoming. We are all really happy with the service and results.

Our referral has been excellent and worthwhile in every way. We were pleased with the detailed explanations and sound advice each time and are now in a much better position to understand our dog's condition and how to help her in the future. We are very grateful to have been able to access this service from the Weighbridge Referral Centre and the treatment that resulted from it.
