Great day out at Butlers Hill, netted lots of Rudd and Roach, and a bonus Crucian carp. New fencing to keep the Otters out, and restocking well underway, definitely will be going back.

Have been fishing here fo about 4 years, great little fishery, out the way and nice and quiet, my best day was 18 carp between 6/8 lb brilliant day, went a week ago and absolutely dead nothing showing, there must have been about 20 others fishing, had a walk around and quite a few moaning that they were not getting any bites at all done quite angry as they have come a long way to fish.

This is a gem of a place, we didn't fish but we did have a wander around the lakes.3 in all. We stayed here in our caravan, a lovely quiet site, hardstanding no electric but it's good to use the gas every now and then. There is water and toilet also a chemical toilet disposal tank.We had the whole site to ourselves other than a few fishermen. Great spot to watch wildlife. There is a farm shop 5 minutes walk down the hill. Milk, coffee, eggs strawberries and cookies on offer.If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go.

Lovely site. Very quiet. Just over a mile to the local pub. Friendly cows to keep you company and wild deer spotted. Fishing lakes on site. Dairy farm about 100m from the site entrance where you can buy milk, cheese, butter, homemade biscuits and fresh coffee. No toilets or showers, but disposal point and fresh water available. 3 hard standing pitches and you will need leveling ramps.

Obviously haven't re stocked since the otter problem last year. Me and one other guy fishing over two lakes today and neither of us even had a bite.

Water is very low and has been some dredging been done so didn't seem as though the fish were interested? Having said that my son and I caught 14 roach and small carp so all was not lost! Will be having another venture soon hopefully.

All 3 lakes dead, about 30 people fishing today, nothing caught by 2pm. Lady collecting money said that it had been cleared out by an otter over the winter..... only after taking our 16 quid. Wont be going back there again!

Lovely little fishery. Shame there are no fish. Another guy also caught nothing. None of us had a bite. It was a lovely day so the Roach and Rudd should have been prevalent. No Carp topping either. Apparently an Otter has taken a lot of the fish but we were told that particular pool has been restocked. Not a single bite in 5 hours between 3 people.

Very understanding. We were gonna arrive late, and in the dark but Jakie was really helpful. We did arrive late and our pitch was there for us. Only pitch, no elec etc. But somewhere safe for the night. Would recommend. Thank you.
