Midlands Open Water

First time today, paid the annual insurance and booked a slot an hour before showing up. Was given a short brief of the lake then dived in - easy. Probably my favourite lake to swim in to date, not busy and the two courses are nice distances (300m & 650m)

I have been trying to contact this venue for several weeks. In spite of leaving messages on their answer phone, emailing them and leaving messages on their FB page and their website, no-one gets back to me. I have paid £27 to include one year's insurance and my first swim but no-one confirmed my booking. It states on their website if you turn up without an armband, you won't be allowed to swim, I haven't received an arm band. I have been ripped off as I've given them £27, so no, I'm not impressed at all. I have hand written to them requesting a refund and had nil response. I have a very poor view of them. There are plenty of other Midlands venues so I would definitely choose one of those over this shabby lot.

Wonderful place.

I went here for the first time on Sunday. It was very relaxed and well organised. I got my wetsuit on, had a quick safety briefing and description of the course and was into the lake in no time! I will definitely be returning :)

Beautiful lake. Well organised out door swimming venue. Hidden treasure.

Took my daughter here to swim here while I sat and read a book (take a chair if you don't want to sit on a wall).No frills (no loos but lots of bushes!), but staffed with helpful and knowledgeable people. I saw a 1:1 lesson going on and was very impressed.Beautiful little lake and lovely to watch swans, moorhens and geese.

Just what the doctor ordered. Have been waiting to get in the water for what feels like forever. Well organised. Beautiful spot. Very relaxing!

Really well maintained and I felt very safe and well supervised as a first timer.
