What a lovely shop and wonderful helpful staff definitely recommend

Fran and her team went above and beyond for the groom and groomsmen .Not only professional and friendly the service we received was outstanding and took the stress out of some of the wedding prep . Frans knowledge and experience in the wedding industry not just bridal but suits as well is what made Birchington brides stand out . The suit selection and colours available are plenty and Fran helped us choose complimentary colours and suit fit for the entire party. Highly recommend.

I had an appointment today felt very unwelcome. Almost as if the lady serving didn’t want to be there and everything was too much effort. Didn’t get much help getting into the dresses which I found bizarre. Wasn’t once told ‘that neckline suits you or this dress is flattering surely as a bridal dress assistant you should be helping and guiding? Tried about 4/5 dresses on then was told I had exhausted all options that would be of interest to me…. Luckily this was not my first bridal dress appointment and I know that there are plenty of other shops locally which treat brides better and give them the experience they deserve. Will not recommend to anyone.

What a professional kind respectable place! Went to another wedding dress shop earlier that day for my first time trying on wedding dresses…just was a bad experience! Called up here last min and they fitted me in that day! Evie was just to most amazing person ever! She was so knowledgable, kind and accommodating! She’s knew how to dress my body type, took into account I didn’t really know what I wanted so tried things I never thought of! By the end she understood my style more than I did! She fitted the dresses so well! Made me feel beautiful and added all the extras to show me what the final look would look like! And I got my dream dress by the end of it!! Great prices too way under my budget!!! They also do suit rentals there so will be taking my partner there to get his! Such a big range of dresses and suits and that staff are some of the most knowledge people I’ve spoken to about this! Also really nice kind people!

I purchased my wedding dress and 5 bridesmaids dresses from birchington brides and the service I received was fantastic. Emma went above and beyond to help me even when I changed my mind on my dress. I never felt rushed and she helped me choose the perfect gown. Karen the seamstress was amazing too, and even came to my house on the day of the wedding to fit us all in our dresses. Thank you all for everything. I would highly recommend xx

I went there to find a dress for my niece and a suit for my son for my wedding. The lady and gentleman who helped us on Saturday were amazing! They were so helpful, knew their dresses and suits. Nothing was too much trouble and we never felt rushed even though they were busy! Going back to hire a suit for my dad! Absolutely brilliant and so glad to see customer services is not forgotten at this place! Thank you.

The worst customer experience ever. I was living in Europe at the time and travelled in for my appointment. When I arrived, I was slightly put off that I was practically brushed off by the owner who didn't seem to know that I was supposed to see her and was assigned a junior attendant. The orders were eventually placed and as I was reviewing the codes for pictures featured on the website, I was concerned that the colour of my husband's morning suit didn't seem to match what we had seen in the store earlier on. I simply couldn't believe the email response I got from the owner when I asked about it for reassurance. I was rudely asked to take my business elsewhere. It wasn't the kind of experience any human being, age or race included, deserves. I am thankful that I found another bridal boutique in Ramsgate that put this one to absolute shame.

I have given 2 stars because of the help my daughter had in finding the right bride dress and the shop was more than happy to do several visits - absolutely no issues with the purchase, however the whole experience goes down hill from that point! It is very normal that each Bridal Shop have seamstresses that they recommend and normally you are given a choice, however that was not the case in this instance! We were given the name and number of ONE seamstress and as I normally do - I looked at reviews only to find none relating to this seamstress, therefore I drove over to see where the shop was located and to find that the location was a shop that was absolutely not practical for trying on the dress! My daughter was unable to even get into the cubicle and had to put her dress on in the middle of a tiny shop surrounded by ‘second loved’ clothes! We had paid £1800 for this dress and this was absolutely not acceptable. We tried to find another seamstress - including another shop that Birchington Brides uses - but didn’t offer us - only to be told they couldn’t fit us in. Therefore, we were left in a position that we had to use the seamstress given to us by the bridal shop! On our second fitting I actually took a white sheet to put on the floor! My daughter was in tears when she came out of that shop which was heartbreaking and what follows is why my marking is so poor for Birchington Brides! I suggested to the seamstress that we should have all further fittings at Birchington Brides to which Fran (Birchington Brides) agreed but only to find that myself, my daughter and the seamstress sitting outside the shop for about 20 minutes after the agreed time and nothing! No one could be bothered to turn up! The seamstress phoned Fran but nothing! The seamstress at that point agreed to come back to my house nearby but as she took the dress out of the bag there was a large grease stain right down the front of the dress - more tears! At that point I phoned Fran (Bridal shop) and asked her to call me as I wanted to speak to her as it was Fran who had recommended this seamstress and between both of them I wanted this situation resolved! No response from Fran! So I emailed her - no response from Fran! I started a WhatsApp chat with her - no response! NOTHING! She showed no empathy, no support - complete silence! Until she heard that the seamstress admitted liability and that we had potentially had another dress lined up. She then phoned - her first words were and I quote ‘I just want to make it clear (the seamstress) does not work for me’! She certainly does not work FOR you Fran but your bridal shop recommends her and as a customer we had faith in that recommendation. Birchington Brides will sell you a dress but have no sense of customer experience, customer support after that point! Sent from my iPad

Very helpful staff. The team were able to cater to all my needs for the grooms party and went the distance in the search for the perfect fabrics to compliment the colour tones for my wedding. I cannot speak highly enough of the service that was provided, taking some of the stress out of the wedding prep.
