Reading and Berkshire mobile mechanics

As a new customer I wondered if the friendly service I received at Berkshire Mobile mechanic Readingmight just be another empty customer relations strategy. To my delight their service was genuinely helpful and I was impressed by their willingness to put a curtesy car at my convenience when the work on my car took longer than expected.

Came to service my car at work. Did a great job and gave me good advise on what needed to be repaired. A few things need doing but said none of it is urgent. I appreciated his honesty. He is also very affordable compared to the garages I called. Highly recommend.

My mercedes sprinter van hit a bollard and bent the wheel, wishbone and link arm it was undrivable. Berkshire mobile mechanics came out same day and repaired my vehicle and I was able to drive away. Cheers.

We'd never used a mobile mechanic before but our car died on our drive and garages were booked up for 3 weeks, plus would have needed a pick up or tow. Came across these guys and we couldn't be happier with the speed and service we received. In less than an hour Matt turned that key the magical sound of our motor was running again. Couldn't believe how quickly he diagnosed it and had even come with the part he thought it needed, so didn't need to hang around like you do with garages waiting for parts to come in. Such a genuine and skilled guy, and decently priced. Definitely recommend and will use again (although not too soon again I hope). Thank you!

Would not recommend at all, very quick to diagnose a problem and say “yes I can do fix this” however communication is horrendous I went 2 weeks without an update, calls ignored. Finally got back to me with no answers. Fixed my car somewhat 6 weeks late and the job took him 15 minutes.Avoid - service is terrible

I had never used mobile mechanic before but the car battery died out in Oct. 2021, did call out these guys and got the battery replaced with Warranty of 4years. Now the battery has died out again but they are not replacing/repairing under warranty. Have ignored my calls and messages, if it cannot be replaced under warranty atleast they need to tell me so not ignore my calls and messages.

I would strongly advise against using them due to the following issues: being late for every single appointment(3 in total). I had the same problem shortly after my car was diagnosed and supposedly" fixed. The worst part was that I called them and offered to pay for another diagnose and I was told they will come in the afternoon to check it

Contacted to go look at car prior to buying, arranged the time for the following week, dealer was waiting for mechanic to show up. Didn't turn up.I tried calling the mechanic multiple times, eventually got text saying would call back. Never got the call and had to arrange another mechanic who was there next day at the time discussed.I understand things happen but a bit of communication would have been alot more professional.
