JJ Painting and Decorating

I had the front of my house painted by Jordan and his team, which I'm very happy with.They were friendly, professional, on time and tidy, and I will be using their services again.Highly recommended.

First the pros. Jordan was prompt with his quote and very friendly. They showed up on the date agreed.Now the cons. The brief was to fill and sand the walls and ceiling in my bedroom and then paint them. It was also agreed he would do one wall and the ceiling. I was away at the time but contactable. I came back to find they had painted over blobs of plaster and had not filled the holes simply just painted over them. In certain areas the paint was peeling off, it was less than a week old. I also found that they had not completed the job, they had not painted the wall in the bathroom. When I contacted Jordan and sent photos, he had plenty of excuses and he told me he was away. Everyone deserves a relaxing holiday so I told him not to worry about it while he was away. It has been a month and he hasn’t bothered contacting me at all despite knowing there were issues. This could be because I had already paid in full. One of the excuses for the paint peeling was that the wall wasn’t prepared properly, I thought that was what I was paying a professional for. I don’t think that they client should have to tell any professional how to do their own job. I am truly gutted as I scrimped and saved to be able to pay for this rather than doing it myself as I am currently struggling with mental health and it has taken a month of hard graft to put right everything that was supposed to already be done as I couldn’t afford to pay anyone else.Technically he did most of what was laid out in the invoice and I believe in paying people for their work. However I cannot recommend this company, they are certainly not professionals.

Highly recommend Jordan and his team. They were professional and very reliable! I will definitely be going back to them if I need more decorating. Jordan came to assess for a quote, he was very friendly and got back to us promptly. Cannot say how pleased I am with the work! Thank you!

Excellent, professional service from Jordan and his team. As soon as he came and looked at the job we knew we would choose him to come and do our job, his likable and professional character shon through. It was not an easy job, but results are stunning. Can't speak highly enough and would deffinately use again and recommend to anyone

sadly we employed Jordan to decorate our house. I should have been alerted when he completed a room in one day, including wallpapering one wall. He decorated our garden room, When cleaning up all the paint left on our wooden floor, I saw for myself he had done a terrible job. there were drips and misses on all the woodwork and missed areas on the wall and ceiling. I immediately brought this to his attention, he assured me he would make it better. I kept the faith… my second mistake! he had another go at the garden room, with his team of two. He first said the issues with the wall were because I’d tried to put the TV back on the mount (I hadn’t!, he just missed areas. Obviously that excuse didn’t work for the ceiling.). he then told me he didn’t have the same white, so I said he would need to paint everything again, if he couldnt just repaint the problem areas.He and his team did this, and then left… taking with them 4 of our personal dust sheets and a brand new tin of my paint, not to mention full payment… sillly me I trusted his word that all would be well and he would put in right.Next morning I went to check the work to discover a huge area on the wall still missed, very obvious under the light switch, more on the ceiling and even more drips on the doors. I took photos immediately and emailed him. 5 days later he text me to say he’d be back to resolve it….. by this time when I’d had no contact, so actually responded that I’d repainted the room myself. It was during this stage, I discovered he had also splashed paint onto my new wallpaper. During my response, I said whilst I had corrected his errors in the garden room, I would welcome him back to discuss the other issues in the bedroom and how he would make those right. To this day, I’ve still had no response, so today I cancelled all future works with him.I’m not a professional by any means, however I managed to paint the walls consistently and only get one small drip on the doors, which i easily rectified the next day.moving onto the other room he decorated, this was mainly wallpaper, but to give him his due he did manage to sand down the beams in this room really well, they were varnished again with my own product. The painting was questionable, with drips on the ceiling and poorly completed skirtings. But the wallpaper is appalling, it’s not butted correctly showing the wall through the joins, and some of the paper is not glued down. I have loads of photos to back this whole statement up. I wouldn’t employ this man and his team to paint my fence, don’t trust your home to him.

Jordan and his team decorated our hall, stairs and landing this week. He is very hard working and pays attention to detail. His wallpapering was excellent as was his painting. He completed the work in 2 days and did an excellent job of tidying up. I would thoroughly recommend him and will definitely use him again.

Have used Jordan now for 3 Jobs, starting with a small paint job, ending with a full house paint. Excellent service, prompt, good communication, quality work and well priced. Tackles all size of jobs and cares about his clients. Highly recommended.
