1st For Rental Homes Ltd

I came across 1st for rental when scrolling online to find a property to buy for one of our clients. I have been in touch with Marc, who arranged a viewing to be held at the property. After the viewing the clients has decided to submit an offer which was accepted by the seller’s side, contract and reservation form were exchanged and signed by both sides. Marc assured us that he will hold the property for us, and we had started working with our solicitors to progress with the purchase. This was on the 20th June 2019.The investors flew into the country from abroad, spending vast amount of money and time to come and see the property before they were due to purchase, I informed marc on the importance of its and he said he is keeping the property for us. And then Marc has just stopped answering our questions. We made multiple attempts to contact Marc, via email and phone to which three weeks later he informed us the property was sold elsewhere to a higher bidder ,this was in the end of September. This is extremely unprofessional from Marc, to lie and give excuse and in addition to ignore a potential buyer It is a shock to see that anyone still works in such a manner. I would not recommend working with them at all after a waste of time, money and resources to be ignored. Quite disgusting behaviour, no basic work ethics.

Honestly,If i could give zero star that's what I'd give.This is hands down the worst experience / service of my life.Mark Holt is really very unprofessional, has zero care for his clients and 100% unethical.I wasted 6 months in the process of buying one of his properties. He was never able to be reached on the phone. Valuation company called him 19 times. Not only were they not able to reach him, neither was I! When he finally picked up and the appointment was booked, (after 3 weeks wasted), they couldn't access all the rooms in the property. This caused the valuer to have to go to the property twice and me having to pay an additional premium because of Mark's shortcomings.Like all these were not bad enough. I finally received a mortgage offer, called him to tell him the good news, he was happy and said he would get his solicitors to start their side of the proceedings done ASAP. 2 weeks later despite a lot of messages from my solicitor, we never heard from his, and so after 10 days of calling him several times a day, he finally picked up and said he has decided not to sell anymore. Apparently he has been thinking of keeping the property and saving rental income for himself for about 4 weeks prior, yet he allowed the valuation to be done 3 weeks before. He could have easily told me he was having second thoughts before this valuation and that he had changed his mind already.Instead, he let it go ahead not caring about d costs and repercussions to me.My experience with him ended up costing me £7,000 in non refundable fees. 6 months wasted on a process that could easily have been finalised in half that time if only he was reliable and answers his phone or responded to emails.You'd see from the other reviews that I'm not alone in this experience with him, so this confirms its his MO and the pattern will always repeat itself.If you are happy to loose money and have your time wasted, go ahead and enter a business arrangement with him. If however you value your time and money and don't want to be wasting your efforts, run away as far as possible from him and his partner.Hands down the worst experience of my life!
