Little bit of a disappointing visit. Called in for drinks only at the bar. Only one member of staff behind the bar. Sat at the bar and we were clearly visible but had to wait 20 mins to be served. Eventually got served and were promised that we wouldn’t have to wait long for service again. Next round, 10 minute wait before we got served. More members of staff appeared behind the bar but looked confused at how to use items and it didn’t really flow at all. There seemed to be a lot of confusion between the staff which was a shame. Maybe because it’s still fairly new that there was confusion but staff training days would eliminate any confusion. Will visit again in the future but hopefully staffing issues have been ironed out.

Great food and Jamie who served us was great too! It was a very quiet Tuesday evening so extremely quiet, which is why the 3 stars for atmosphere, but that wasn't anyone's fault. As always the Fridays glaze was amazing!

A wonderful spot to go to on a rainy summer Durham Saturday (especially for somebody who is not familiar with the town).I ordered the Vegan Burger with sweet potato fries and it was finger-licking good (to steal the tagline from another chain).Helena was a joy to speak to when she got my order and her recommendations were invaluable. Made my one night in Durham a wonderful experience.My only comment would be to allow to mix 2-4-1 cocktails for solo travelers who might not want to drink two of the same cocktails.

My daughter celebrated her 14th Birthday at TGI Fridays in Durham. She had the most fantastic time thanks to the dedication of the staff, in particular Jamie who made sure she had a magical celebration. He catered to the needs of everyone in the group, making sure they all had the best time, and paying close attention to any dietary needs. He even organised for their live singer to sing happy birthday! We were so impressed by such excellent service. Highly recommend!

Visited on a Friday night during the Lumiere festival so was busy. We were served quickly and had cocktails which were great. Staff were great and our food was really nice, Nachos, sesame chicken fingers and burgers, generous portion and well presented. Great atmosphere for a family catch up, staff were friendly and service good.

Great food and couldn’t fault the service. Our server Lewis was prompt with taking orders and the food was perfectly timed. We had a bit of a logistical nightmare with trying to surprise our other guests by paying which all the staff were happy to help with this. After explaining that we were surprising the two children with us as they were foster kids whose case was going to court soon they offered us free cake with sparklers and balloon swords. It’s safe to say the kids really enjoyed the experience and I would highly recommend TGI Fridays - Durham.

Food is great but cocktails are even better.Reece behind the bar is exceptional at making cocktails and is a really friendly member of staff.made us feel very welcome and nothing was any trouble.would definitely recommend

My friends surprised me with a birthday dinner at Friday’s. Food was amazing as always, and the service was excellent. Jamie, Abby and Louis were really helpful. Jamie’s humour 10/10! Loved the free shot and the birthday crown too. Really made everything special so thank you!! Definitely recommend.

Called today with my wife and granddaughter. Food bit pricey but otherwise quite tasty, service while getting you to order was spot on, cleaned part of the table and brought bill. We still had our drinks to finish of, but the disappointment for us that once we paid the rest of the food containers was just left on the table, and no further interaction from the staff, as if they couldn’t be bothered once you paid and was not ordering anything else, just waiting for you to leave.
