Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from the elderly female proprietor. Was extremely rude to me. The male assistants followed me around the shop. Such an unwelcome, intense, unfriendly atmosphere. The products were very old, often with dust on the boxes. Most of the fragrances were copies. The shop was filthy. The prices were not competitive. I would give the shop a zero rating, but the system won't allow. If you want to be ripped-off, abused, accused of stealing & have a generally unpleasant retail experience- go to East End Cosmetics. Enter at your own risk!!

Bought nothing, as I was suspicious about so many perfumes being stored in the sunshine. The tester for Boudoir was IMO 100% fake. It was weak and didn't last, nothing like the original which is very strong in character and continues to develop over 12 hours.

Bought 3 lotion All out of date and it says “not for sale “ paid £ 145 . so I went to shop same day and asked for the refund and old lady owner were shout at me and insist that not refund me and ask me to get out very rude and not reasonable. so I m contacting Trading standards.Anyone who got same experience we should repost this shop

Warning! No no and no. This company do not provide safe delivery, took my payment, the order was delivered to the wrong address, after endless calls and emails they washed their hands of it and told me to pursue it with pay pal! Eh? Awful awful do not risk it.

I was appalled by the outrageously rude behaviour I received by the older female proprietor of East End Cosmetics, today. I went in to purchase a foundation that I purchased there before and had a normal conversation with the female proprietor after being ignored by her as I waited there for a few minutes without any acknowledgment. I believe she was doing inventory, but at least acknowledge my presence and check to see if someone else could assist, if she was not truly available. Eventually, she found me my foundation and when I went to purchase the item, she started to berate me loudly saying that she remembers me from the last time and that I was impatient and that I screamed at her and she accused me of stomping off and making a scene that I was going to find the item somewhere else. I said that I have never screamed at her and that she must had me confused with someone else. She then told me that she never forgets a face and that I just could not wait just a few minutes the last time I was in her shop and that she was with a big customer. I waited in her shop the last occasion for over 30 minutes and there was another woman waiting to speak with her at the time. I then told her that was a really odd thing to say to an honest, polite, repeat customer who purchases higher end products from her and that I was sorry she felt that way. She then stated a whole bunch of assumptions about me (e.g. That I must have had a bad day that day, etc) and I told her that they were not true. She then told me that there was no hard feelings when I told her that I will not be coming or recommending her store anymore and that I did not feel comfortable buying the foundation from her. She said her store has been there was 30 years and everyone knows about it! Unfortunately, with two TK Maxxs in the area and Pak Cosmetics that have a similar line of products at a similar price point, East End Cosmetics' customer service skills and level of communication will need to be dramatically worked on to stay relevant.

I didn't receive the item.Showed as delivered on Royal Mail website. Contacted seller and asked them to contact Royal Mail as they will only deal with seller and not with the intended receiver.Seller stated that Royal Mail claimed that it had been delivered to my house, but I've now spoken to all my housemates and confirmed that they were on placement or working and were not in the house at the supposed time of delivery. The signature that Royal Mail supposedly got from me looks nothing like mine, and I was at Uni at the time of delivery.It could have been a mistake on Royal Mail's part, but there's nothing I can do on my end to rectify that and I resent paying money for items that didn't arrive at my house.If they had pursued a complaint with Royal Mail instead of just accepting what they said I wouldn't be writing this review, but as they didn't I wouldn't recommend dealing with this shop as they won't have your back if there's a delivery issue.

dreadful, don't give these thieves your money. I ordered £15 worth of goods and heard nothing back from them at all. I'll be claiming a refund via my bank. I'm also going to draw attention to every other similar case of this to the police, this isn't just bad business, in my opinion it's deliberate fraud. Wouldn't have given them any stars but the system wouldn't allow me to post without giving one.

I’m not surprised to read all the reviews as in 2012, I had the exact same experience of appalling customer service for a hair product that I bought. It was hair relaxer and the box was missing a vital part, neutralising shampoo. The weird thing was this box looked like it was it had been re-sealed but I didn’t question it until I discovered the missing item. I went back with my receipt only to accused of stealing the shampoo and wanting another for free. I was shouted at by the same elderly woman in front of other customers. I called up trading standards at the time and a nice lady at the time rang the shop only to be screamed at also on the phone. I’m very shocked and surprised that this shop is still in business.

Rip off merchants. Just charged me £55 for a product that sells for £30 elsewhere. My own fault for not having a quick peep on the internet but I actually like to support small, independent shops! Went back, politely asking for an adjustment or get something additional of small value - I don't mind paying a bit more to a small business but met a brick wall :(

With all the consistently similar reviews, I seriously wonder why this place is still in business. If your goal is to be verbally abused, made to wait for no apparent reason, cheated and scammed you will not be disappointed! The authenticity, sourcing and quality of the products, particularly the fragrances is highly questionable!
