Great experience as first time campervan users. Mieke’s personal touch and advice was a great addition to everything else Scotland has to offer. Likely to return as future customers!

Just back last week from 4 days away having hired Ben Hope, VW Campervan from Mieke at Grampian Campervan Hire. Excellent service from the moment we arrived. Mieke is very attentive and knowledgeable about all of their vans. The booking process was easy, price very reasonable for what you get. The VW was a great choice for us as first time 'campervanners'.The vans are fully equipped, and I mean fully, everything you could possibly need and more. Mieke and Jan have clearly thought about what they are doing and how they wish to provide the service. From tea and coffee, spare gas bottle, spade, camping table and chairs to fitted sheet for the fold down bed, pots, pans, cutlery, utensils, dish soap, head torches, blankets, levellers and even playing cards. Very nice home-made scrubber also, great touch.The van was comfortable, warm enough and very easy to drive. It includes a small diesel heater which runs off the fuel tank, also secondary battery for all your lighting needs. We went up the west coast, north west and east and then back down east coast of Scotland - Lot of snow on west but spectacular views and experience. We wild camped, drove 652 miles and no issues what so ever (apart from getting stuck) but all part of the experience.On return, Mieke was very professional and eager to hear how we got on. Always available on the phone which gave you peace of mind. She gave us a tour of the other vans in the range and we are now looking at a larger one next time (April). We will be taking our nephews who will love it :)Would highly recommend, we looked at many companies and none had the personal touch that Grampian Campervan Hire had, the attention to detail and unlimited mileage so no need to limit how much travel you do. Have told our friends and my sister is keen to try this when up next in Summer. A++++

We hired the Renault Traffic from Grampian Campervans - an upgrade for the VW Ben Hope which was in the garage. Initially we were a little disappointed not to have the VW but, having driven around the West Coast for five days with our large Labrador, we would thoroughly recommend the larger Renault. It was great to drive, really economical, has more living space and a fantastic space at the back for all our stuff". The small shower at the rear of the van was brilliant for showering sandy paws after walks along the beach and the doggie seat cover was really useful. Mieke was lovely from the first email to our final goodbye - so organised and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The van was spotless with lots of useful extras. We would definitely recommend."

Very happy with the service received from Grampian Campervan Hire. We went mostly wild camping in the west cost of Scotland and even when we couldn't get the heater to work, Mieke was extremely helpful and available when we needed to contact her. Thanks to Mieke who makes hiring a van so easy. Plenty different ones to choose from and very flexible with booking.We hired a smaller VW T6 for 1 week with no issues at all. Easy to drive and the van came fully kitted out with everything you need. Mieke makes your journey as easy as possible and is lovely to hire from. To top it all off the rates are very reasonable compared to other companies in the area.Can't recommend Grampian Campervan Hire highly enough and thanks again for a lovely holiday around Scotland!

I have hired vans from Mieke twice now and both times have proved to be beyond expectations. On the first trip I hired a 4 berth Sunlight van for me, my wife and 2 kids. What a great fun adventure it was! The weather was very cold outside but the van was lovely and cosy. Every possible thing you could need was there so it really was a perfect trip.On the second occasion I hired 3 vans for a trip with friends. We were rather indulgent and wanted a van each so hired 2 of Mieke’s VW T6 vans and the largest Sunlight van which has a gargantuan bed - absolute luxury.The combination of vans meant we had the choice of VWs to nip about in for day use and had the larger Fiat for a spacious lounge area for meals as well as having toilet and shower facilities.All vans are well equipped and in great condition. Mieke is wonderfully enthusiastic and nothing is too much trouble. Communications we’re great and prices are very competitive.The success of the 2 trips has spurred me on to order my own van but whilst waiting, I’d have absolutely no hesitation in renting from Grampian Campervan Hire for any trip.

Recently hired VW T6 Ben Hope for a week to tour the NC500 including a trip to Orkney. Highly recommend Grampian Campervan Hire, the van was spotlessly clean and came packed with everything needed for a trip away, Mieke really has thought of everything, even including some personal touches too. Grampian Campervan Hire - brilliant, professional set up. Not the first time that we have hired a van, but the first time that the service was exceptional and I know we will be back. They do exactly what they offer on their website and more!! The vans are so clean and kitted out with everything you need and even things you didn't think you needed. Our van was a dream to drive and coped well with all the West Coast roads.Miekle is an amazing host, I don't think there is anything she would not do to make your trip more comfortable. If you have not had a van out before and are a bit worried about how everything works, fear not - she will explain everything and be on hand if you need advice while away, she is very talented.They also have their own wee campsite with amazing views, so if you were a novice you could spend your first night on site!!Happy Camping!!

We hired a campervan for a week and travelled around the west coast.The whole process of hiring the van was amazing and friendly. Mieke and Jan were very helpful in helping us decided on the best van for our holiday.The van came complete with everything you need for your holiday and full of required information. A full explanation was given when I collected the van. Mieke was also on call for any questions we had.A lot of thought has been put into the equipment and set up of the van which is great when you start your holiday.The whole experience from start to finish is effortless and friendly.
