It’s dog friendly but on menu a few items for them would be great! More seating space as all we had on offer was one table indoors.Gina all along was so lovely and fab service. Your smile made the special day.On booking it was added special occasion being birthday so a small gesture would have been nice knowing it’s Browns!Drinks long straws were over but two of the cocktails were decent.Main meals were spot on. Really nice food.Would visit again for Gina and the Chef’s cooking!

As like all Browns restaurants it was a lovely place to enjoy a meal. However on this occasion we went for the set menu which was slightly underwhelming. The food was nice but without added sides would not have been enough. The staff were friendly and accommodating, providing a good service. I had the fish cakes which were quite nice and for starters the mushrooms on toast were delicious.

We visited this place for afternoon tea after a stroll through the botanical garden. The ambiance is lovely, and the service attentive and friendly. The scones were delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the brioche with prawns and salmon. The desserts were tasty too, though a bit too heavy on the sugar icing for our liking. The sandwiches, while seemingly typical British fare, weren't quite to our taste. However, the cocktails were very enjoyable. Overall, I think it's a good spot for afternoon tea, even though the sandwiches weren't exactly to our liking. It's a bit pricey, but you're also paying for the atmosphere and charm.

Disgusting ToiletsWe arrived at about 12:20, when the restaurant just opened.I used the toilet as soon as the staff brought us to a table. The toilets were so dirty and disgusting. All three of them were blocked and overflowed! Dirty liquid all over the places.I am so shocked that the restaurant was just opened for business, how could the toilets were so dirty already? The scene was so disturbing that affect my appetite seriously. We ordered truffle chips, Shepard's pie and crab pasta. There was no truffle flavour in the chips. The shepherd's pie was so salty that the gravy in the mini jar become unnecessary. So salty that made me wondered what was I eating. Lamb, pork, beef or all of the above? And the broccoli was too hard.Could not feel any crab inside the paste either. And the bill was not cheap. It's the 1st time I went to Browns. I know that it's an old history chain restaurant but I am not sure about that, sorry.

I went there on Aug 15 with my family. I ordered steak & frits. The steak was dry and bitter. I had to cut off the outer part before eating but the taste was still not good. The fries were good.

Afternoon tea on a wet Thursday in October. Great selection of food and well presented. Not sure the tea was Earl Grey, unless it's some new blend with additional flavours added, but certainly not bergamot.

Classy! We were lucky enough that live piano music were being played the night we had dinner in Cambridge. We had a lovely evening with friends, great wholesome m meals, great bar, and mostly good service (depending who you get). Our waiter was very personable and friendly.

Saturday night with Simon (Piano man) was delightful! Brown’s created such a good atmosphere for anyone who wants to relax over the weekend (and splurge a little) with good food and nice music. Fish Pie was delicious, authentic says some British friends, and the sticky toffee pudding was a great addition to end the night.
