Christian is an excellent architect. He was the only one I could find willing to take on an ambitious project to try and get planning for affordable housing. Unfortunately the council did not agree and we had to go with more traditional plans, but Christian was supportive throughout this process, drew up all the necessary plans, and dealt with the shortcomings of the building survey with grace and humility. Definitely recommend working with this gentleman and would only hire him on my next project. As a woman, I have found the building industry difficult at times, being looked over or talked over with the assumption I wouldn't understand or have the knowledge needed. I simply never got this from Casa Studios. What an asset to the county.

Casa Studios designed and submitted planning for the renovation and extension of our old cottage with a contemporary cedar clad extension married to an old stone cottage. The layout, topography of the ground and access were challenging but Christian asked us really important questions about how we wanted to live in our space before coming up with the designs that work perfectly for us. It was a pleasure to work with Casa Studios and Christian and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. In fact we have done so to our friends with two of them taking Casa Studios on board for their projects.

CASA Studio's design brings a smile to my face!It is now 2 years since our extension was completed and I must say that every day I walk into it I break out into a smile. Christian executed our wishes perfectly in his design. Our property is a 1940s built detached property which retains it's traditional values whilst embracing a modern internal feel. Christian designed our contemporary coastal house and provided building regulation drawings for approval. Our initial ambitious design was initially rejected by the Council but with some modifications and good liaison Christian helped to ensure that planning permission was granted. CASA Studio were successful in getting planning permission first time round for our studio in an AONB (area of outstanding natural beauty). They came up with a good design that was sympathetic to our existing property on the site that also met our needs and budget. Christian was very easy to work with and would recommend him to others.

Casa Studio - Christian SimmonsI am very happy to provide a reference for the above-named who carried out the detailed planning application in relation to a small piece of land in Upper Meadow, St. Ives in 2017 leading to the grant of planning permission.The plot of land presented considerable practical difficulties as there was an old fisherman's shed which had fallen into serious disrepair and was liable to collapse. In addition, the rear wall adjoining the shed was unstable and liable to collapse and the ground was uneven and needed careful consideration to enable foundations to be built.Christian produced a plan in considerable details dealing with all the required issues and planning permission was granted. The builders were able to follow the detailed instructions which involved complex work to secure the foundations and the wall and the end result has been a compact attractive studio suitable for occupation by two people and containing an en-suite shower room and WC.I was very pleased with the attention given to the project by Christian Simmons who dealt with a range of difficult issues eventually leading to a very satisfactory and attractive construction.I am very happy to speak personally to anyone who would like any further information.DEREK REED
