This is a lovely pub with wonderful rooms in a great part of the country. The only issue we had was a chef not turning up one morning and his replacement being less than excellent. All other staff were wonderful.

Beautiful country pub in the Peak District. We had lunch with friends and everything was perfect: the food (great fish and chips, fantastic pie), the beer, and the cozy atmosphere. The village is worth seeing.Top experience.

Stopped for dinner which was pure-booked. Table was ready and waiting but, despite being notified in advance that three of our party are vegans there seemed to be some confusion over this. Actually, they worked it out and the food was lovely and well priced. Friendly service, dogs welcomed and a nice atmosphere. Well done.

Pre-booked an evening meal as a couple whilst staying in the village. Food was excellent. Freshly prepared and really tasty. Staff were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping our drinks topped up. Highly recommend a visit and we hope to come back soon!

Lovely lunch stop after the Litton circular walk. Warm, friendly welcome from Andy. Just made it in time to order food before the kitchen closed but no stress about that. Food was delicious and service fantastic. Definitely recommend.

The Peaks, its beauty is unquestionably stunning, a bit like The Bull at Foolow. We stayed over a weekend, and from start to finish, it was a joy.The welcome, with an offer to help from Andrew, with our bags, to the spacious, well equipped, comfortably furnished rooms. Nothing had been left to chance. We opted to eat at the pub on both evenings, and I'm so glad we did. The food, service (thank you Spencer, Jack and Sylvia), and general atmosphere were astounding. The food here should have awards. We were really impressed. The young waiting staff were hard working and genuinely looked happy to be there. It was a refreshing change.I am pretty sure we will be back to the Peaks. Its natural beauty has an enormous draw. We would, without hesitation, choose The Bull at Foolow, on any return.

A gorgeous traditional country pub. Well worth a drive out. We had a fantastic Sunday dinner in a lovely cosy setting on a rainy afternoon. We had prawn cocktail starters that were so fresh& tasty. The pork & beef were cooked to perfection, really tasty gravy with giant home made Yorkshire puddings. So refreshing to come across a place that is exactly as advertised, delicious homely food in a good country pub setting.Highly recommend.

Went on Sunday for dinner, poor quality food. The Beef was undercooked and a very stingy portion !! The Yorkshire puddings were aunt Bessie’s finest !!My Son who is gluten free recieved the same meal without the Yorkshire pudding. No attempt was made to make any Yorkshire’s with gluten free flour..If the chef can’t make Yorkshire puddings then it’s time to replace him !!!Not very impressed. Especially at £18.95 !!!I would not recommend …
