In an age where nothing is built to last, I was really keen to keep my large 23 year old Duresta sofa. The frame and original upholstery were sound, it was still beautiful and I loved the colour. However the cushions had lost their bounce and the back cushion were especially saggy due to being stuffed with feathers. I initially tried to get new cushions from Duresta via my original sofa supplier but they said Duresta weren't keen to do this as it would cause the seams on the cushion covers to split!Thinking this to be complete rubbish I did my own search and found The Feather Company. They are based in Scotland and supply cushions for all the major quality sofa manufacturers. Best of all they did the feather wrapped foam I was after.The website was incredibly easy to use. I measured a seat and back cushion as instructed and entered the seam to seam measurements into the Web page and got a quote very quickly. The communication with Gareth at The Feather Company was fantastic. I was told to package up a one seat and one back cushion cover and send by post to their workshop (I used recorded mail for my own peace of mind). Gareth emailed the same day to confirm receipt, confirmation of measurements and price. Four weeks later he emailed to say all four cushions were ready. Payment was made by bank transfer and included the cost of packing and postage and they arrived by courier the following day.The cushions are fantastic. Very well made, supportive and no longer hurt my back to lift. Replacement cushions might sound pricey but it's still far cheaper and environmentally-friendly than buying a new sofa. I'm completely delighted and hope to get another 23+ years from my sofa. I would definitely recommend this company for their excellent service.

I have been so blown away by this company!!!Not only is it a family run, sustainable, local business, but their service is absolutely awesome!I sent them an old pillow to recover for sentimental reasons and they were so incredibly kind as to add a small strip of my old (green) cover to remind me of the previous pillow. What an incredibly thoughtful gesture!!In their communication and service they have been outstanding. They answered all my questions and got in touch quickly after receiving my pillow. Sending it back took only a day and the parcel was tracked so that I could see when it would be delivered.I cannot recommend them enough and am sure that I will use them again in future!

Wonderful company, their pillows are excellent quality with very generous filling. The firm & extra firm are very solid...I ended up with a medium, perfect for me with a smaller frame. I will definitely be recommending this company.

what wonderful experience having my 50 year old duvet remade. It hadn't been used for a good while however previously well loved.The Feather Company, telephoned me having received it with with the best advice for remake .Oh! what a treat when it came back to me. Traditional design. Beautifully made soft natural cover material, and in a protective hessian bag .Mine needed no any additional down. However I was reassured additional feathers are provided from duck feathers gathered without cruelty.Friendly, helpful , quickly returned - postage included in the total cost which was excellent price.The Feather Company - used them with total confidence....very very happy with my duvet. Cant praise enough. Thank you...

I had two large feather sofa cushions, which even after being plumped up just reverted to being thin and useless.I contacted The Feather Company and confirmed the sizes and they provided me with a quote, which was very reasonable for the size of the cushions. As instructed I posted the covers off to them and in just over two weeks the cushions have arrived back.I can't express how happy I am with them, it has given my sofa a new lease of life. The cushions are plump and soft and probably even better than the ones that came with the sofa. The foam, feather wrapped cushions are of a high quality and are so comfy to sit on. The team did an excellent job and I would highly recommend them to any one with lack lustre sofa cushions.Thank you for the care and high quality of service provide.
