Professor Bruce is fantastic. We highly recommend anyone who is personally suffering or has children suffering with any ear, nose and throat issues to engage with Professor Bruce. Our son had glue ear which was causing speech issues, and also enlarged tonsils and adenoids leading to sleep apnoea. He had them removed by Prof. Bruce last week and already noticing the benefits.Prof. Bruce is an expert in his field, and he made the whole process very easy and comforting. After surgery he attended our room to inform us how the procedure went and advised well on how to ensure a smooth recovery.Today (1 week later) we attended a follow up appointment to ensure all was ok, and again the whole process was easy. We cannot thank him enough and as above would advise anyone to visit him to treat these types of issues!

Professor Bruce was fantastic with my daughter. From the first consultation he made her feel so comfortable and she was so happy he was the one doing her adenotonsillectomy. Professor Bruce communicated his extensive knowledge in a really clear manner and took the time to listen to our views in order to make the correct decision for her treatment. His post op visit and her sign off check up all followed suit and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Professor Bruce in a heartbeat. My 1.5 year old daughter had grommets surgery with Professor Bruce. I initially took her for an assessment at 14 months old, following concerns I had and Professor Bruce diagnosed her with glue ear. At the 2 consultations prior to the op, the op itself and the post-op assessment, Professor Bruce was extremely informative and clear on procedures. We didn't feel rushed or pushed into making a decision between consultations and all options were clearly laid out for us. The op itself was performed in a highly professional manner, and although it is too early at this stage to comment on the outcome, we do feel that if we had concerns or queries we could see him about it at any time.

Professor Iain Bruce examined our 4 week old baby and conducted tongue tie procedure.He considered all options for the treatment needed for our daughter whilst also reassuring myself and my partner of the best outcome for her future of breastfeeding.We felt at ease throughout the whole process, the appointment was arranged quickly and efficiently.He made our daughter calm before carrying out the procedure which was completed in minutes.His office rang within two weeks to check how her healing was and feeding.I would highly recommend using Iain for this procedure and any ENT issues.

We had a brilliant experience with Professor Bruce and team. Our 2-year old had been struggling to breathe in his sleep since he was a baby. After a consultation, Professor Bruce quickly diagnosed as obstructive sleep apnoea and recommended removal of tonsils and adenoids. The op was a day case and everything ran smoothly. The team were were really friendly and helped to keep our toddler calm and comfortable. Since he came out of surgery, his breathing has been transformed and has continued to get better as he's healed. His speech and hearing are also significantly improved. We're now 4-weeks post op and I can honestly say this operation was life changing. Thank you Prof Bruce - highly recommend!

Really happy with the whole process & professionalism from Professor Bruce. He was clear with us throughout, from initial consultation to discharge was just a matter of weeks. When we had a few complications with our son having tonsillitis & oral thrush he made time for us to do an extra check up.I would highly recommend Professor Bruce.

We had initially been advised by another consultant that our 3 year old would require a grommets operation to resolve glue ear. We wanted a second opinion and travelled to Manchester to see Prof Bruce. It was well worth the journey.He thoroughly examined our daughter (and she had a hearing test with Adam the audiologist). All of this process was efficient and made really fun for her (so much so that she has, months afterwards, nattered about Iain and Adam quite regularly!)Prof Bruce recommended delaying the grommets decision for 3 months. His exact words were “if she were mine, I would wait and see”. For him to consider the decision through the eyes of a parent like that was so comforting and appreciated. Especially when I’m certain he could have made a lot more money out of us going ahead with a grommets operation!Similarly, the offer to contact him any time during that waiting period by phone or email was really comforting, but happily we didn’t need to.We had our 3 month re-visit last night and the problem seems to have almost resolved itself and we are so thankful we sought his opinion and avoided an operation. Although if he had told us then or now that an operation was in her best interests, I would have felt 100% confident in his balanced opinion.I have already recommended Prof Bruce and Adam to a friend, and will continue to do so. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Super child friendly consultant with plenty of time to explain everything. Our child had a tonsillectomy which was excellently carried out. All the staff at the spire were absolutely lovely on the children’s ward. Highly recommend Professor Bruce

Professor Iain Bruce gave my son an incredible experience from first consultation to his operation (tonsils and adanoids removed and grommets put in) to his follow up appointment. My son is 4 and was so happy to see him everytime. He was super thorough and put myself and my husband at ease and is so great at explaining things and answering all our questions. He also helped my son and daughter with there tongue tie as newborns and again put us at ease and did a great job. Would highly recommend, thank you!
