McGill's Group - Xplore Dundee

Today, the bus services were suspended around 4.30pm. There was no advance warnings signs. People had to get off the bus and walk in the snow which was knee length deep. The Xplorer public bus services were a let down today. There was not even a minimal route service. However, their competitors stage coach were still operating few buses. The taxis were also not running to town and suspension of the buses meant that a lot of sick and infirm people got stranded. Surely, there could have been a better approach to local transport buses as the snow warnings were already announced. No mobile phones battery and Abandoning passengers in the middle of the road was daunting. The sad part was the buses were running to the local depot, but because of suspension the drivers refused to carry passengers because of insurance.If it's snowing as it is right now then I will be v weary traveling on the bus. If you buy a day ticket you don't even get a refund.Xplorer bus are run by National Express. Dont worry, the wifi rarely works on their buses. So, dont get too alarmed if you find the wifi not working on your handset.

Tickets were booked and fully paid online - Now I am trying to reach out because I haven't received an email confirmation and a message coming up every time saying we will call you later because we are busy. Waiting, waiting & waiting but no one called so far. Seriously Xplore your service is bad! You cover the fourth-largest city in Scotland and you can't have a proper telephone centre for your customers to get in touch? I see other people complained for the timing issues but apparently there are so many other areas that you need to improve. Show some respect to your customers please.

On Wednesday was on the airport bus it was very dirty I was sitting opposite the toilet and every time anyone used the facility I was almost sick with the stench obviously had not been cleaned or disinfected for a long time

The worst bus company in the whole of Scotland. Before being taken over over a year ago the buses were every six minutes. Now with the new company for over a year they've had driver shortages and the board tells you that we'll remedy this asap. Well a year down the line and it's not the same it's actually worsening. In the last seven months buses are cancelled on a daily basis and the time scales for daily buses are every 20 mins but they don't tell youthere cancelled until it counts down to zero. So you think it's coming and after the due sign it comes up cancelled then you have to wait a further 20 mins. At night after 6pm there every half hour if your lucky but on restricted services there every 90 mins or so. I checked the xplore app and on a Saturday night there was only 3 buses on all night from 7pm. Absolutely shocking. Dundee city council needs to step in and warn or fine this company for the shocking service we're receiving.

Majority of bus drivers are rude and even give sly looks or even grunts. Buses are NEVER on time, you always have to wait even up to 10 minutes. When you pay for a certain ticket you are given a less expensive just for quickness, so that extra money spent is actually going nowhere. Finally, the sizes of the buses are completely ridiculous in correlation with the time of day, e.g. smallest bus possible at ~14:00 just when loads of kids are getting out of school and most people are leaving the town. Overall, absolutely terrible.

I've been using these buses for a long time. Sometimes you get bad drivers sometimes you get great ones. They do have a habit of not showing up sometimes and the 1A-1B route in town is horrendous, especially when i have my disabled sister with me. She can't walk too far and she always has to walk far to get to those bus stop placements. Good service though, daysaver price stops me taking little trips in town every other day though, it's just getting unreal. Buses can sometimes stink up horribly but that's what happens when a load of people get on and off one bus.

Waiting on the bus for nearly 10 minutes, then it just disappears from the departures list. No word of it being cancelled and the website isn't working. Really poor performance. All the buses in Dundee are like this. How much longer can Xplore get away with such terrible service?

Buses rarely run on time, they are usually between 2-5 minutes late but they can often run over 10 minutes behind. Opposite to this they can sometimes run early, meaning they drive past you as you are walking to the bus stop to see a sign saying something similar to 3mins" before quickly disappearing.Buses have been cancelled without notice

Buses constantly keep going early, not caring about passengers who show up on time. The 5 and 5a have been 10, 15 minutes early often. Missing an early bus may mean being 40+ minutes late to destinations, or over an hour on saturdays.

If I could give zero stars I would. Can’t begin to comprehend the amount of time I’ve spent waiting on buses that don’t turn up, or the drivers don’t stop for you and just drive right past, most of the drivers are rude and horrible people. Several times I’ve been at a bus stop and it’s says journey cancelled so I start walking and two minutes later the bus passes me. Such an unreliable service from a greedy company that continue to increase their prices but do absolutely nothing to improve their service.
