I loved this place. A very warm welcome to my fur baby, oh and us. The extensive menu was a joy to behold. An absolute must is the white chocolate cheese cake. Excellent parking, no to bad access if you have walking problems. The toilets are immaculate, if they are like that the the kitchen must follow suit. Got to go back to check out the rest of the menu. The TUNS burger is fully loaded.

A really friendly welcome to me and my dogs. The new owners are so lovely and have sympathetically updated and brought the pub up to a very high standard, even put underfloor heating in the conservatory. My dogs and I felt very relaxed. They enjoyed their pork scratchings and I had the British full English, yes the Sausages past the taste test! There is an extensive menu. Including a pizza one, eat in or take away and a gluten free menu.A great place for dog walkers, cyclists, hikers to start/finish from.I highly recommend a visit.

We went in for Sunday lunch. When we first arrived the only member of staff about was the lady behind the bar, so no on there to seat us.Once seated we saw there was a table of approx 10 in, however aside from that, only 4 other small tables, 2 of which sat down after us, so to me it was not overly busy. The food took a very long time to come out, and we had to chase this twice, to be told that the kitchen was very busy. Each time we wanted anything, so more drinks, we had to catch the eye of member of staff, which was difficult, as they were not visible most of the time. There was no check back on the food either. The was was OK, but nothing special. The beef on the roast was overcooked and chewy, the peas had a weird texture where they had been re-heated, the sausages overcooked and everything was under seasoned. We would have spoken to the manager/owner on the day, but again, they were nowhere to be seen.Very disappointed, and we won't be going back any time soon.

We've visited this lovely Pub on several occasions and eaten here a few times. Food is always freshly cooked and absolutely delicious with good portions. I recently had a pork belly dish (see photo - sorry, I'd already started and decided it needed a photo) from the specials menu which is the best I've ever had and beautifully cooked. The online menu is very traditional but there are always special dishes on a blackboard for some true gems - my wife had previously had a scallop dish which again was delicious. There's always a warm welcome and the staff are lovely. The Three Tuns is worth a trip out for and there are some nice walks in the vicinity if that interests you, the walk back to Buntingford is a lot better after a meal here!

Lovely place! Friendly landlady and very welcoming. Menu was vegetarian friendly which is rare in the pubs. Dogs were not only welcome and very much fussed over! Always winner in my books. Cannot wait to come back!

Great welcome at this excellent pub from the friendly hosts Jodie and George. We arrived one minute before 2pm after a 7.5 mile walk not realising the kitchen was about to close, but it was no problem for our hosts who were only too happy to prepared us a delicious meal which I washed down with a superb pint of Timothy Taylors best. It's our third visit to this lovely pub and it's been a great experience each time. Recommended. Friendly, great atmosphere, well-kept real ale, and lovely food.

On a wet cold Tuesday in November after a country walk we went into The Three Tuns, enjoyed hot food, beer and tea by a log fire and found that it was a very bright, smart, clean and friendly pub. Thanks for great service today. As for the menu, it was ample, we enjoyed sausage and onion baguette with chips, and a sweet and sour chicken.

4 of us had a nice lunch here of jacket potatoes with different fillings. Seems a funny thing to say but the spuds were lovely, apparently they rub salt with oil on the skins then bake over rock salt, really tasty. The new owners are making great efforts to bring in new customers with good food and a cheery atmosphere after the pub was shut for a year, we shall certainly be back.
