I don't really use the library as such I only ever attend third party appointments with a company who uses the facility. But the library seems lovely whenever I go in. Always appears to be a lively place to be and the atmosphere is lovely too. The workers always seem polite and hard working too. I must try attempt to take some books out at some point maybe and use the proper facility for its true good because libraries are so special to all towns :)

I was taken aback today by the lady who served me …..without any provocation she was quite rude, intense and seemingly angry over nothing……she would never keep her job in the private sector. My advice would be if you don’t likely your job don’t do it,

Sorry, but I liked the old library best (they should never have sold it off) This library is just a featureless box in comparison. They should buy the old library back and move back in there. It's what it was originally built for, and what it was always meant to be.

Visited today for the kids Opera North free event, it was absolutely amazing! Only down side is they said it started at 10:30, but it didn’t start while 11. But that’s not the end of the world and so worth it for the event itself.

Kids had a great time reading and colouring. A large selection of colouring sheets can be found at the reception desk.

A great library with enough resources to satiate your intellectual curiosities!Having said that, the atmosphere could be modernised more. Even though it is a peaceful place to work/read, it lacks a contemporary atmosphere akin to cafes such as Costa/Starbucks. Even if the study room here could be repainted from the sterile white to a funkier colour with perhaps some very light background music, I'm sure it would only add to the library.Overall, it loses 2 stars due to the very old-school look of the interior, however all else is great!Hope you guys take the feedback on board!Cheers...

Spacious and clean, plenty of computers to use, and they’re open on Wednesday which most of the libraries around were closed. There are plenty of books to lend to all for free. Lovely library volunteers doing their best to assist people’s needs.
