Balzanos

We went there last week and the owner was very rude with some customers who did not manage how to speak English. She sound very offensive and racist. Definitely not coming back. Britain and Cambridge are turning in a no go area

We love Bolzanos for a relaxing coffee or take out. The toasties are fantastic, and there is no better way to start the day than with a fresh baked pastry and bread baked that morning.

I would like to support Balzanos, but I’ve had too many not so good experiences to rate it any better. The coffee is good, but the owner is not pleasant and while I know that running an independent business is tough these days, if you don’t make an effort people like myself will not return. And how difficult is it to put a croissant on a plate at the same time one orders a coffee? This has happened a couple of times, and I’ve had to remind the staff that I ordered a croissant with my coffee. Some staff are pleasant and make an effort. I have also shopped there many times, willing to pay extra for their food. It pains me to write a negative review as I’m of Italian origin, but there are other Italian based cafes in town that do make an effort to make you feel welcome.

One of the best coffees in town! Very tasty paninis with fillings from the deli and a great selection of Italian products.

It's a nice place, but given that it is a deli as well as a cafe, they couldn't rustle me up a panini with ham and mozzarella and it took them 15 minutes to prepare an Americano when it didn't really seem that busy. I have had better service in there before but that was before the Pandemic...

Don’t get me wrong, the cafe is lovely. The food is tasty, coffee is great, people are nice.The low rating is due to the terrible internet. I would happily spend my working day here, but it’s impossible to get anything done with the loading times.

Great little local deli serving a wide range of meats and cheeses, and freshly made bread. For bread, I would recommend arriving before 12pm, as it often sells out.
